Is Ken Dorsey a realistic candidate for the HC job? If so, would you guys be open to it?

Not a good time to break in a new coach IMO but Ken Dorsey running the offense with Ed Reed running the defense gives me chills. Would be a perfect coach in waiting under Butch or Chud.

No f**king way as head coach.

Yes as QB coach and CO-Offensive coordinator under Chud.

You're confusing them as players vs coaches. Dorsey is going to have to prove himself as a position coach and coordinator first. I think Reed would be a good coach, but he's never actually done it, as far as I know. I wouldn't mind seeing him brought on to coach DB's, but the problem with instinctive players is that is really hard to replicate.

He is in his 3rd year as QB coach for the Carolina Panthers. For what its worth, they are Cam's best years

I agree, but i would imagine if this happened he would have plenty of coaching experience on his staff. I really want him on the the new staff regardless of his position. It would suck if he blew up and went on to kill it elsewhere.

No, but not yet.

Dorsey is the definition of a student of the game and a film-room animal. Guy has studied more tape in his 4 year career at Miami than all other Miami QBs combined. With that mindset, I can see him coming in as a co-offensive coordinator and eventually working his way up the ranks. It's not crazy to think that he's on the right path, but he's just not there yet.

Ken is working or being a coach. No way ready for HC at THE U yet. QB coach, sure. OC maybe. Ed, wow wouldn't that be nice. Ed was a great on field coach guy but we are clueless as to how is would be on sideline. Not even sure you give him dbs straight off the streets. Now either guy can replace what we have now at HC, OC, or DC, don't get me wrong. But there are better choices at the moment. If Butch wants Ken at OC or Ed at secondary coach, fine. Butch knows him for coaching talent.

Dorsey could be one day
Butch would need to hand it off to someone right

I would assume he would be Chud's OC

He's still a more qualified candidate than Cristobal. That would be funny if it wasn't so sad.

As crazy as it sounds, I would be Ok with Dorsey assuming due diligence was done. My guess is he's not ready yet. Does not bother me though that he has not been a coordinator.

What the ****? Media is right. We are living in the past so much that people think Dorsey and Reed being coaches/coordinators is a good idea.

Let's bring in a proven asset without the prereq of former ties to the program. FFS

The amount of morons in this fanbase is truly amazing.

Before you ask is this candidate qualified for HC, ask yourself if he wasn't affiliated with Miami would you even know his name?

I love the idea of Dorsey and Reed being on staff, but they are not HC candidates. I could see Dorsey being QB/co-OC in the right situation, but not more at this point. Ed may not even be solid position coach, though clearly he's one of the greatest db's of all time. Hard to say how his instincts would translate.

Hey guys. My uncle, Tim Flanagan, former DE from 79-82, is the DC for a junior football league 'Miami Hurricanes' team in Virginia. They are undefeated with a team barely scored on.

Lets bring him back as the DC for this team.
