Dorsett doing well with the Colts

2. The Colts defense won the night practice but the best individual effort came from rookie Phillip Dorsett. The first-round pick hauled in a deep touchdown early on in practice, over fellow rookie D’Joun Smith.

Dorsett has been very consistent through the early part of camp and the big play finally came on Wednesday night. We saw Dorsett receive more and more first-team work on Wednesday, too. Under the lights on Wednesday, it was no surprise Dorsett was a bright spot.

Could be a beast in any offense in the NFL. His college career side by side with his former teammate Rashad Greene, and the priority they were drafted, just kinda goes to show... Well, you know...
 
I effing love the colts offensive roster right now. Taking me back to the Edge and Wayne days.
 
OF all the canes drafted he is in the best position on a team that win right away....

500+ yard season 3 tds...a true deep threat
 
Luck is the best at extending plays according to experts, it will make it almost impossible for DBs to stick with Dorsett that long. Then you throw in TY, andre johnson, both their TEs. That offense will be fun to watch. Then you have Gore's pass blocking and running

I doubt it. The Colts have too many options for Dorsett to get those numbers; Dre, Hilton, Moncrief, Dorsett, Allen, and Fleener plus Luck likes to throw to RB's also so Gore will also get some targets.
 
Dorsett might not get 100 catches, but he will be a high average guy. He could get 1000 yards on 50 catches, which is less than 4 per game.

Not much; He would never be one of the top 3 wr's taken. The earliest he probably could have been taken at all was around 18th or so. So being picked 29th wasn't too far off.
The difference is maybe a Mill or so. Not like he really cost him much. And if anything, it's actually a little better he got taken later. Because with the colts, he isn't going to have too much pressure on him, he's in a great offense with an absolute stud at QB, and they are going to make a SB run this year.

I think most WR's would trade in 1M if it meant having a top 5 QB on your team...
