It is becoming increasingly unlikely that the Long Beach (Calif.) Poly standout sticks with his Georgia pledge
.....
a source close to Wright said not to “sleep” on the Hurricanes in this race.
The Long Beach Poly standout loves the Miami culture and he has strong relationships with numerous coaches and staffers including Will Harris, another California native, Terry Jefferson and others.
But the Hurricanes also haven’t hired a cornerbacks coach yet after Zac Etheridge left for the NFL so that could be a sticking point for Wright,

This remains a three-team race with Georgia trying to hold on, Oregon looking like the favorite to flip him and Miami putting in work to stay very much in this race.

Probably a buyout situation.. Seen some buyout dates drop after spring dates in general.. Thats the issue with replacing coaches soo late, alot have already re upped and you have to pay the higher rates..

**** I never thought of this; that’s on point.
We hired Steele after he went to Baylor; and Hetherman right after he repped with Minnesota. Not to mention Mario himself was hired at Alabama 6 weeks post returning to Miami which informs his experience in seeking who to hire.
Holding out hope we can snag Rashid Wadood…that’d virtually guarantee us flipping Donte Wright. If not, still expecting a notable figure given Mario’s willingness to go a Greentree spring without them on the staff; and, two of our three previous DB coaches had prior tenures at marquee programs before leaving Miami to go to the NFL whilst Chevis Jackson was a former NFL player himself.
