Obviously, everyone does at this point. I believe his start in mid May with UCLA. I believe Miami's is the first week of June and go through June.
I don't believe we get any of these 5* DB's we have been after. Sears if he reclassifies is the only one that looks like a legit option for us. I hope I am wrong, but I don't think I am. We have to hit on our evals again. I like Osborne and Valade, particularly Osborne. That kid is the real deal.
It’s a huge hold up with most of our DB recruits..

I doubt anything is holding him back given the way Gaby and now Pete have spoken on this plausible scenario becoming more and more probable.
At first, I thought it was possible it was a master’s program he was finishing up at Oregon along with spring football. Then I presumed it was a contract buyout ordeal that makes it cheaper on May 1st. Now idk what it is about haha.
Hearing another person besides Gaby report on it makes me feel surer that is a matter of when not if; and whatever is delaying the announcement has been deemed an acceptable reason on Miami’s end. . . . . Otherwise, we’d be linked to more names by now.

Landing Johnson, who missed his junior season because of injury, is still massive since he’s such a talented defensive back and is also the teammate of five-star cornerback Donte Wright.
According to a source, while the Bruins remain a big contender especially after a visit to Westwood earlier this week and an expectation he’ll be back Saturday for the spring game, Johnson’s decision won’t influence Wright’s final choice.
The two have played together for years, they’re friends and it certainly doesn’t hurt UCLA’s chances with Wright but Johnson’s decision is not going to play a considerable factor when the five-star has to finalize things on his end.
Oregon position coach Rashad Wadood met with Wright during a two-hour in-home visit and at school this week as the Ducks are pushing the hardest for him to flip. There is confidence from others close to this recruitment that eventually, Wright will end up moving his commitment to Oregon.
But some are talking up Miami after a visit there while others are not convinced that Wright is going to end up with the Hurricanes.
Plus, after multiple visits to UCLA and the selling point being that Wright could do huge things in his own backyard, it’s something else to monitor as the Long Beach Poly standout goes into what he calls “the hardest point of my recruitment right now.”
