Donta Simpson to the portal

He needed to put his name in the portal so teams could start reaching out to his agent and start setting up causes! DT Is a premium position but once kids starting committing his price goes down

If it's a premium position then the opposite is true. He becomes more valued the more the pool dwindles. We saw lesser guys get deals from Texas & Lsu last year

Sounds like they are the type to back channel with Texas Tech to try an help TT replenish thier dline depth for 2026 an convinced Simpson the Red Raiders will drop a nice sized NIL package on him.

Are NIL deals for the calendar year?

His expired and because negotiations haven’t gone they way he wanted or quick enough he hops in the portal to try and manipulate?

Or does he believe he’s better than Moten or Scott and deserves more PT… nevermind that he may not be, a lot of kids think so highly of themselves they get delusional… he wouldn’t be our first.

Maybe he just wants to go to the highest bidder?

We got real **** to deal with right now.
 
Better ways to handle it than announcing it the day after the biggest win for the program in the last 24 years. Showed good potential so its disapointing.

Maybe but I don’t think they’ve even negotiated with a major. Not trying to hate on Donta but was he even offered by other majors besides Miami? Blud made a tackle against Bethune and got an agent
