I respect and appreciate what Rosier has done for us, but at this point, starting him against quality teams(and Pitt) is as good as a forfeit. Maybe I am over reacting a bit, but with 2 weeks of awful play, and 9 weeks of just "ok" play, I don't think so. We have 4 weeks until Bowl game. Let Malik and Evan compete for 2-3 weeks, then name starting. I doubt we are burning Perry's redshirt for 1 game. The upside is that the competition brings out the best in one of them. There is no downside because everyone can plainly see that neither one really has it. We just need to light a fire under one of them and hope one of them to steps up for one game.

Lmao at OP!! It ain’t happening.

Laugh if you want, but its better than doing nothing and just hoping for a different result.

Oh, and good luck with giving Saban and Urban 4 weeks to pick apart what little game Malik has, knowing he is definitely the starter.

If you watched the Pitt game, you'd clearly see that Evan has no business seeing the field. Evan's not a good QB at all. I'd rather Perry take the 2nd string snaps for the bowl game - knowing that if Rosier is injured or gets pulled that Evan would go into the game (at that point, the game would be decided one way or another). There's no point burning a red-shirt for the bowl game.

Malik starting bowl game = another humiliating defeat. He had his chance. Great guy, terrible QB

and what could you tell by one series. He had the same results as Rosier except Rosier did it 5 times.

can you stop with "burning a redshirt". if he is any good, he leaves in 3 years one way or the other...........

I don't feel very confident with either one of em. I say start DJ, run the wildcat. Its been pretty obvious that we're handicapped offensively anyways with Malik and Evan both sucking.

Evan looked like crap in one series (3 and out) against UNC. Then he looked like crap against Pitt (3 and out). He was awfully bad.

You don't like Malik, we get it. He's inaccurate as **** and we reached our ceiling with him. But Evan doesn't even belong on this roster.

There are plenty of good QBs that don't go onto the NFL. Only about 5 per year go, and most don't pan out at the next level. Why throw out a QB that's not ready and shatter his confidence like FSU was forced to with Blackman.

Ok. That’ll work. I think the team physician should order bedrest for the QB (and the rest of this team) for three weeks. Our guys have been dropping like flies for the last two games. Probably do the team the most good than anything. And lol at Perry playing in the bowl game. The kid is a toothpick that would get broken in half against Bammer, Pedo State, or an Ahia Sate defense, with our OL. The Sheriff hasn’t shown anything either. He’s thrown like 5 passes and 2 of them have been batted back in his face. But, go ahead, open up the competition. Maybe Richt can sign the chick who shotput the ball through the hole in the cardboard box at the half of the Okie/TCU game.

First thing is to make it clear that the QB position is up for grabs next year.

Then let Perry and Weldon take meaningful snaps during bowl practice... I am not saying to burn any RS. just let them practice...

Evan can go back to scout team or be our punter...

Other teams aren't scared to win or lose with their true Freshmen QBs.

I'm sick of the excuses as to why we have to accept humiliation on national TV

Georgia was forced into it with Eason's early season injury. FSU was forced into it with losing Francois for the year.

Right...and both have QBs playing MUCH better than ours. Georgias QB was that much better than Perry in HS?
Or just given a chance to take them into playoffs and NC contention?

no way you burn Kosi RS for one game

It should have been "burned" before, during or after Pitt game. Georgia "burned" theirs rather than throw away a season, as did all the teams in the article linked.
Rosier starting bowl game will be yet another national TV fiasco, 3 in a row

Bet the house on whoever they play in the Bowl. Miami will lose by double digits.
