Don't look now (RE: Canes Defense)...

I looked all game...seems Willis is also proving to be a capable backup for depth...but not the monster starter some had expected...

He has 4 TFLs in 2 games while playing less snaps than the guys in front of him. Are we watching the same games?

Plus, you've made mention of him and his "hype" multiple times. Do you have a particular issue with this guy?

No issue per se, just recognizing there is a ton of pressure for him to perform at an elite level considering the build up of his sideline legend.

I hope he turns out to be the greatest Miami DL of all time...that only helps the team.

Just the way he has been built up, one would think he would already be an every down starter, amd that doesn't appear to be the case.

Again, hope the young man becomes all-world as that only benefits Miami and the W column.

Another player who is facing similar pressures is Bruce. So much promise, so much expectation, and he has yet to catch a pass in a resl game for Miami, and appears he wont until at least the 2017 season.

Absolutely watching the same games...and I hope he continues to perform to get into the starting/every snap line up. Both he (draft prospect goes up) and Miami (Ws likely goes up) certainly benefit.

As far as Bruce goes I will just say that it's been kinda hard for him to catch a pass in the first three games...since he's been suspended for the first three games.

We also are deeper at CB than most first thought. Michael Jackson has played a fair amount and performed well, and Malek Young and Ryan Mayes have gotten some PT and been serviceable so far, albeit against offenses that aren't ever going to light us up through the air. And can poor Demetrius Jackson get some love???? The kid is leading the team in tackles, TFL, and is second on the team in sacks. Right now he and Chad Thomas are a couple of boookends at DE. AQWho?????

McIntosh is a stud - Reason Willis isn't starting. Norton has been a beast as well. Hopefully the dominance continues against our opponents in October.

So far we have given up 195yds rushing on 124 carries. 1.57 yds per rush.
13 sacks and 40 TFL's.

We are all talking about individual players but we are overlooking the most important thing, COACHING!. Most of all are talking about our players based on their past performances but we need to focus on the here and now. Pretty obvious that our previous coaching staff was fvcked up! I don't care who the player is on this team, they are all going to be up-coached and will be getting better and better with each game. Our Team has just scratched the surface. Don't care how many stars they had in High School either. Have you noticed on D that pretty much all players in all different positions are getting PT? Noticed how bad Mississippi State's defense is without Diaz? Of all Teams, LSU put up record numbers against them yesterday!

Good coaching is a beautiful thing!!! GO CANES!

I like that Redwine actually knows how to locate the ball, its something that plagued our DBs the past few years is they didn't t know how to locate the ball, still thank Jaquan for flipping him from Louisville.

That int they took from him was just cruel.

That was NFL type coverage right there. No doubt it was not an Int. If he has position for the ball he should be able to retain his space just like a wide receiver can. Total BS call.

This coaches make average players looking good and transform good players into excellent ones. The last regime did the opposite.

I'd like to see moten shed some weight this offseason. His beer belly looks like a classic Gluten weight gain. Also, you can see that by some other guys like Milo. There are guys across both lines that will make transformations this off season.

ON POINT!!! **** are you on point. All of our coaches are excellent, on the same page and share the same goal under MR, which is performance EXCELLENCE physically, mentally, emotionally, nutritionally, etc., etc. Have you noticed how quickly our players come back from what in the past would have been serious injuries? Separated shoulders, meniscuses tears, etc. In the past these injured players would have been out for the year, and Gorlden majored in Psychology? Give me a **** break!!... Have we also noticed how with almost all other teams, including Alabama and FSU with all of their 5* players, Defenses are crappy as **** today!... DEFENSE wins championships and MR gets it now more than ever before.

Shaq looked a little lost out there. His hustle made up for the ME's he had and he gave up the TD. Mike Smith is quietly making it some competition for the mike spot. I'm sure the bye week practices will feel like fall camp. Love what I'm seeing right now on D.

Go Canes!!!

This guy is a closet gator thats why

If I wasn't convinced we'd **** away a trap game against UNC or NC State, I'd say there is a remote possibility we could come out of South Bend undefeated and rustling Paul Feinbaum's jimmies.

I thought we would lose at ND and win every other game besides the ACCTG against Clemson or UL but now I think we will go into the ACCTG undefeated with a chance to play in the playoffs and lose a close one to Clemson ( think they beat UL).

We all learn from the mistakes we make, not so from the things we do right. I've seen plenty of All American LBs make similar and worse mistakes. Shaq is doing a great job! He and our other LBs are way beyond their years, and guess what? They will be getting better with each game!! Mistakes are part of amateur/professional sports. We have been pretty close to perfection. Let's smell the roses and appreciate what we have and not be so nit picky. Watch the whole game and enjoy it for we are not on field coaches. MR will fix the rest.

40 TFL is number one in the country. Michigan and Illinois are second with 32. Big gap between us and second place. Very impressive so far.

And you would be a wholly out of the closet DELUSIONAL.

Thats a big word for you, so let me help define it for you.

It means you are crazy.

That better for you sparky?

That is to be expected from all three freshman LBs throughout the season. The more reps they get, the better more "seen this before" reactions will become.

If you compare their play against a few other ACC LB units, these young men would be starting in those programs as well.

Strong indications Miami has lightning in a bottle with these three. Impressive.
