Al has every incentive to get the heck out of Dodge and seek an accommodation.

He's making it difficult for a bunch of very wealthy people who were previously well disposed to him to let him leave gracefully, if some of the leaks are to be believed.

That won't end well for him.

what does Al care? he knows he knows next year will suck, he knows he is toast for the future as no one recovers from losing at Miami, he knows he has been exposed in every way possible. he genuinely does not care about Miami and will give a half assed effort next year only setting the program back further and getting paid millions to do so. another bad year next year won't hurt him any more than he already is tarnished.
