Thanks Geo even if you were wrong.

You were like a little cocaine high for my weekend.

The come downs worth the high you gave me for 24 hours.

Repped

If the admin has asked Golden to fire assistants and he is downright refusing, then it is pretty clear to me he is daring the admin to fire him, and giving them the middle finger while doing it. It's been clear since PSU that he does not want to be here, but the sound business move from his standpoint is to get fired and collect his full buyout.

We will find out if the admin has the stones to do it. It is beyond disappointing that the fat **** has all the leverage, but it is what it is...

If he wants any shot at another FBS job in his lifetime, he better hope they fire him. 2015 season will be an unmitigated disaster if he remains as a lame duck.

How pathetic is our BOT and/or Blake James if they actually told him to make staff changes, Golden says "nope," and they do nothing?

Is this even a reasonable or possible scenario?

If they really said make staff changes (which is odd to begin with) and nothing has happened, I find it hard to believe even our "leadership" doesn't ****can him

Great potential here. This is like the CanesInsight version of a feminine issue: a few days once per month.

What will the next trigger be? Maybe a gathering of coaches at Super Bowl time. That's roughly a month removed. Spread a rumor. Suckers galore.

It does get a bit dicey when Golden is coaching spring practice. But I wouldn't consider that a disqualifier. We always get blowhard info coming out of spring. Like Wimpy, he'll be fired on Tuesday. Can't stick with the same day throughout the year.

The saving aspect of this is that Monday will eclipse national signing day as most overrated of the year. Bottom line from national signing day is vital. But otherwise it's 12 hours of things we already knew, with only a handful of exceptions.

If Golden is fired or bolts on his own I'll be thrilled to be wrong, and welcome any negs. Wow, getting negged. That's so scary. I love how people threaten that, including within recent pages of this thread. I noticed last week the banner touting reputation via bowl wagering. That's trying too hard. The problem is not with how reputation is issued, but the fact that it exists in the first place. Low class.

I think there is about 85 BOT members, how do they get that many people on the same page to make a quick decisive decision?
Here is how I think it is suppose to work... I think your A.D. makes a decision and send it the president who in turns shoots it down or agrees. If she agrees she takes it to the BOT and states her case. Then the BOT can hear the info and make a decision.
If your A.D. is spineless or powerless then the way I think the process should work couldn't possibly have any chance of being efficient or successful.
So does anybody know how it works here or how they get everybody on the same page?

The entire board breaks down into sub-committees. There is likely an athletic sub-committee, and they work with the AD. If the AD is established, the AD sets the discussion. If not, the sub-committee does. If the AD and sub-committee are on the same page, it then goes to the full board to confirm. Once confirmed, it's signed-off by the president.

Sometimes, the president can initiate items to the AD and/or subcommittee. But that's not likely to be the case, regarding athletics.

The president is not the thought leader on athletics ... It's the AD and BoT. Donna didn't fire Coker or Shannon ... She signed off on it, but the AD and BoT made that decision.

The Golden situation has NEVER been about Donna ... It's ALWAYS been about the BoT and AD.

Maybe the new president will be more involved ... But outside of "selling" the program to recruits and their families, the president is "hands-off" the athletics program, UNLESS there is a significant issue with compliance.

Im taking this with a grain of salt. In my own opinion. I do not think they will pull the trigger to fire him. You can take me on record saying that. I'm telling you what I have been told.

My source, he's told me correct things in the past many times related to the team and recruiting but their has been times where he is wrong too. (Carlton Davis commitment to OSU over Miami during the summer)

Didn't really come on here last night as I had got back from work, my wife is 7 months pregnant and I was tired as **** by the time I was free.

Basically what I was told

* IF anything were to happen it would be within the next few days. Otherwise if nothing happens, expect Golden to be back for another year. Basically it's either going to happen soon or nothing at all and we have to live with it for a whole other year or whenever they can Golden.

* They reviewed after the bowl and we will see what comes of it. They know of hometown kids burning Miami for other schools, fans and alumni complaints.

* A decision will be made very soon. So what I am being told, if Golden were to be fired, let go, resign or whatever you may call it. It would happen after the weekend.

* Their can be assistant coaches leaving, as far as firing.... Don't expect Golden to fire D'Onofrio from what I was told. Coley and Carroll were the names I heard as people who could leave.

* Golden not really budging when it comes towards any staff changes, their is exceptions which have been mentioned here. If anyone is fired or leaves, it will be on their own terms or the higher ups at Miami had part in it. Basically if anyone is fired, it's a scapegoat to try to keep fans happy.. *Cough* (if they can)

* Blake James has no control over firing any of the coaches.

* Their was indeed arguments and fights in locker room after the Pitt game.

* The Williams decommitment was one of more to come if we retain Golden. It was up to a possible 10. Not necessarily are we going to have 10 exact. This is not only for the 2015 class. Their is some solid kids who would stick regardless. (Jaquan, Mullins, etc.)

* Transfer rumors are transfer rumors. Yes. But I was told to expect some transfers.

* The higher ups at the University of Miami have discussed about what to do with Golden and staff. They are not blind nor ignoring what people , alumni and fans are saying. So Golden and the words "fired" have been discussed before.

* I was told they do have the money for the buyout, it's whether or not they will sack up and pay out.

* Butch is a REAL possibility for the University of Miami next coach. And the word of BOT's that do like Butch and some that don't like him. It's very true. Just some people are still sour that he left.

* As far as Golden buyout reducing after January 1st, wasn't told anything about that.

* Golden has been harassed, his family has been upset, and as far as any end of the year conference. Have not heard IF or when it will be.

** Donna might be leaving sooner than expected due to her mothers death.

*** The James Stavridis as Miami's next President rumblings..... does have legs.

Your condescension aside, I think you make some valid points. I think what you read wrong is how important you try and make this for posters.

Most of us that have been here and other boards know this is a game. Its the newbs that get caught up in making this real.

Carry on, you are filling in for bombs absence nicely.

Constructive

Well ****, how pitiful have we become. Our only hope for this team is a bunch of ******** that don't care about this team

I see where all this is headed. No staff changes, they have all the players tweeting United and Kaayas mom tweeting about believing in Brad and Chad

That will be the new rallying cry

Chad who has not made one single play all year. Zero sacks and probably one tfl. Pointless being coached by El Foldo

Too bad about Donna's mom, but seriously Donna is what 65-70 years old? Her mom must be 90-100. It had to be expected right? Most people when they lose a loved one miss a week of work for bereavement and services etc. why is it so different for Donna?

She died so suddenly.
