Everyone that is tied to the program in any real way has said AG returns as coach next year.

Every major, true journalistic (ok most in South Florida are s-hi-t-e) source has said all they are hearing is that AG is returning.

Evey piece of information that has started this silliness has come from some pseudo-internet-wannabe blogger/message board personality/friend of an uncle who pitched a baseball game on Wednesday night sometime in the 1993 somewhere in Coral Gables/posters and people so embittered by the state of the program that if the corn in their ***** is whole it must mean Al is going/complete mental incompetents stating opinions that have no basis in any reality.

Al Golden is returning, the BOT have given no indication if they are disappointed, mildly uncaring, or completely fine with the direction of football program, a new president is coming in next year, UM's season was over more than a week ago, academic performance of the football team is at an all time high.

Do not fall for the sorcery, do not believe the crapola, the majority of fans want AG gone, he very well may be gone next year without dramatic improvement. However, there has been not one shred of concrete, real evidence, piece of information, or even indication that AG is cleaning out his desk. Are there likely staff negotiations, very possibly so. Is AG going to be fired, or step down a week after Xmas, multiple years left on his contract, a new president coming aboard in a few months, because some disgruntled parent and a few flippant teenagers tweeted that they are not coming anymore? Please. Multimillionaire stewards of the University of Miami's direction do not care about loud mommies of oft-injured tailbacks, high schoolers that have never been laid, been to war, passed a bar exam, or replaced a kidney on an operating table, and certainly not of an inflammatory, largely cretinous fan base that may or may not have even gone to college, let alone the one they espouse as their U.

Please listen to the smarter posters on this board, many have already told you that nothing will happen THIS YEAR. Change is afoot but it is being carried out by intelligent people who do not engage in public stonings of flawed football coaches. Committees will be organized, searches will be conducted, telephone calls will be made, all in due time. Miami has been average for over a decade, another year of 6,7,or 8 wins ill not bother anyone that matters.

And please get a grip with the 65 year old Butch Davis who left in infamy returning on white horse to fence off the state of Miami. Honestly, and I know much more than you can imagine on the singular, PARTICULAR point.....Butch Davis will never coach at the University of Miami again. He is not, and will not be considered. Anyone that brings up Butch Davis seriously (beyond that you like him) is a moron and completely out of touch with the powers-that-be. Enjoy the Under Armor game this evening, enjoy the National Championship game in a few days, enjoy the possible ascendance of Kaaya, enjoy the Spring Game, enjoy a decent-ish season, reconvene in this thread in 353 days and then, and only then, will you have something of substance to talk about. Until then, go have a tug, or a glass of Brunello, but stop hoping for something that is NOT even being discussed at the present time.

You don't know siht just like no one else knows siht. Of course the party line is that Golden is going to be here - what else do you expect them to say? Randy was staying too. Right up until he got his *** fired.

No, publicly, the BOT hasn't announced any displeasure - again - what do you expect? They have a fiduciary responsibility to not talk UM business prematurely. Ask Randy and Coker about that.

And as far as the BOT not caring about football or a player's mom - UM has a lot to lose in a really, really bad publicity nightmare that is Golden. The entire county doesn't hear siht about UM, about UMHealth. The entire nation can't tell you much about UM because they're not exposed to UM.

But everyone in the country is exposed to the UM football program. The toothpaste is outta the tube, and it's not going back in. Everyone hears about UM, as UM in the past was every top program's nightmare. The ongoing, and upcoming sihtstorm of negative publicity against Golden is not going away, and every person in the nation will be wondering "What's the problem with the jokers who run the program at Miami? Are they really that stupid?"

We're sitting on a gold mine of talent - everyone in the nation knows that. Everyone knows that any good coach - similar to Butch - can fire up again and start running the table. That's why everyone comes here to recruit. That's why everyone is holding their breath on our coaching situation. Someone like Butch comes back, and FSU, UF, Alabama, OSU, and others have a real problem. The money, the talent, the credibility, and the availability of a coach will be what determines who we get. And Butch Davis fits all criteria.

So you're full of doo-doo if you think Butch can't come back. That's how I know that you're in the dark. Pitch black.

Guess we'll all just have to wait and see, huh?

Clearly by the way this program has been run, from the on field embarrassments, to the Nevin Shapiro scandal that went as high as our President who was supposedly naive to the whole situation, to the destruction of the Orange Bowl, to the multiple failed hires and multiple extensions to compound those hires across both the football and basketball teams, to the lack of capital investment (we don't even have lighrs on our ******* practice field), to the fact that our coaching salaries haven't gone up despite the meteoric rise in revenues and salaries across the country, to the fact that we just went 6 and ******* 7 in our coaches 4th year and not a single staff change is occurring, smart people are in charge and everything is under control.

I think you're underestimating how much the admin seriously doesn't give a **** about any of us or our opinions, regardless of ticket sale, alumni status, or how much we donate.

Football is not a priority. Al's kids aren't getting in trouble, so he's fine.

Maybe, I guess he'll coach 2015 out of spite lol....dude wants out. It's mutual. But Golden isn't getting another power 5 job, he's not walking away from millions. He's TRYING to get fired.
