If Butch is hired back the ACC coaches would be forced to coach now. The last four years have been easy for them knowing no half time adjustments will be done.

He's never spewed lies or rumors...never threw sh*the against the wall hoping it stuck.

Took a lot for him to tell us what he knows knowing people will blast him if it doesn't happen
 
So the administration were so oblivious to everything that they were totally blindsided by all the vitriol towards Al Golden and thought he was doing a bang up job, but now they're so tuned in they're taking into consideration decommits and commits from local prospects to other schools? That's about as big of a 180 as you can do.
 
In the end, the money always wins out. Al staying, even if it was only for one more year, would be catastrophic financially. Eat the buyout, hire Butch, let him do his thing, then watch the money pile up.
 
For that to be true: Goblen's buyout must have decreased, the internet 'noise' must have surprised even them, or/and the comments by Duke's mom + recruit decommitments must have opened some eyes.



Otherwise they wouldn't have waited.

You've got no president. A coach who actually doesn't want to be at Miami. An AD who answers to the coach. BOT members making the decisions. A former head coach at the school begging for the job. Everything about is insane. Him getting fired/walking away would be the most sane scenario.

The real deadline to hire a coach is this week due to quiet period ending next week.
 
The only way this is true is if Al told Blake he has had enough and let's work out a buyout.

As Ferman says the task awaiting al if he really wants to keep going here will be a monumental uphill climb starting with firing his buddy.
