How about Winston Moss as a DC? He is the Linebackers coach at GB packers.

No it won't because there isn't another position open. Where's Butch going and assembling a staff?

If he is assembling any staff, it would be for a job he knows he has but the HC hasn't officially been fired yet.

That leaves about two potential options. Miami and Utah
 
If Ferman is saying it's not happening, then it's happening.

Haven't read the whole thread yet, and the rumor has probably already been debunked, but you're giving UM too much credit. Do you still think they're not a totally reactionary group of incompetent out of touch buffoons?

It's completely within the realm of possibility that these idiots had no idea how bad this situation was until the fans made it obvious over the last few weeks just how toxic it is. If you don't think fans pounding them constantly via email and every social media portal could make a huge difference with this group, then I don't know what else to say.

Add to that the fact that recruits are jumping ship by the minute, and Folden has gone into hiding from fear and you could have a percolating situation.

It's possible I suppose. Ultimately I still think they want to punt the decision to the next President and they probably believe that the football crazed fans will eventually calm down by the start of the 2015 season. But if nothing else at least we'll have some hope for the next 48 hours or so.
 
Had a dream last night that Butch was being interviewed on ESPN and he said "I'm coming back." Woke up so disappointed when I didn't have a notification saying Golden was fired

Will you guys stop asking why wait until Monday? Obviously if it were a firing it would've been done already. This must be some sort of resignation if it were to happen.

My buddy got to go down to a bowl practice and was hosted by jesse marks. He said they dont care. Someone told him that administration doesnt care about the fans and the quote was... "they'll be back when we start winning again". We're ****ed
 
Butch probably will,end up being dc at another school, like Michigan st, and that will end the dream of butch coming back. Don't see Al going anywhere, why fire him now? If true why could it take until Monday? How many Mondays has past that Al was going to be fired?

The admins don't give a single ****. Thats why I say if Golden is gone Monday it will be because he decided to end his misery. I simply don't believe that the BOT ever had/has an intention of firing before the new president comes in. So if Golden is out, its his decision cause its become too toxic and miserable for him and his family. IMO

Maybe they were waiting for their next coach's bowl game to finish up. And it's New Year's weekend and they won't come back to work until Mon. But that would leave Butch out of the picture.

Butch isn't going to take some DC job. It would probably be almost a lateral move in pay, and a big downgrade in prestige. There might be a few HC jobs he'd want besides Miami, but right now, Miami's the only place that MIGHT come looking.
