I hear ya ny and I'm one of the guys who will never give up on my alma mater. But, it's hard to read these threads every 2-3 years. How many times does it take before the "one right hire" is made? And Manny really isn't the problem at the end of the day. If Blake James is allowed to make the next hire when Manny is ultimately fired, then this whole discussion would be pointless anyway.

Agree but why can't he find that guy from the OU, OSU, some other staff who just makes offense look easy. Somehow the Canes always find the coaches who know how to make offense so **** complicated. Jalen Hurts has been Oklahoma's campus for roughly 10 months and he looks like a heisman contender. Same thing for Justin Fields at OSU. Why in the world can't Miami find a guy like that?

That's the kind of bold move the the University would need to make to show that they really do want to be back. Alas, I don't see it ever happening especially after the $4M payment to Temple.

If Urban says he's interested. Then Manny will be sent packing. They will find the money to do it.

Unless an entire new BOT show up then expect a **** show.

Remember, it was Sam Jankovich who fought against UM admin back in the day. We owe Jankovich everything because Tad Foote was no different than Shalala, but Sam put his foot down and knew how to tell the admin to go **** themselves.

Shalala hires Blake specifically knowing he wasn’t a Jankovich type. She wanted a yes sir in place so she could still call the shots.

What makes anyone thing Blake James is getting fired? Dr. Julio Frenk is completely hands off with athletics and the BOT doesn't seem to have any issue with James. Seriously, who at UM is going to run him off?

Pump the brakes. I dont think James can survive a 3-9 or 4-8 season where he had no hire process. Thats assuming people on the BoT thought it was as questionable as about the 30% of fans like me did.
 
lol the program is dead. well never recreate the magic of the 80s and early 00s. they were anomalies for a small school w a small fanbase and limited booster support. face facts. small schools don't compete with the big boys in todays era of CFB.

I GIVE U A BREAK. Seriously. Because you must be a YOUNG SCHOOL Hurricane fan. No? For example, Miami's AD's, and BOT and other university POWER BROKERS have had several opportunities to HIRE A COMPETENT head coach since Corker's last days in Thee Gables. But they never collectively came through with hiring a head coach which would have SHOCKED the major college football realm. Say a Urban as U mentioned above.
