Don't be surprised if Rosier has a good game

Based on what I have seen during games, he's not going to win us a game against good competition any time soon. We should line up in power sets and rush the ball 40 times.

How much have you seen from him playing? The sample size is too small to conclude he is not a good QB.

All Rosier needs is playing time. He has much more mobility than Brad and a stronger arm. Oh did I say something sacrilegious or stating the truth?

Per @CamronGhorbi, Malik Rosier (234) has the most yards by Hurricanes QB in his debut as a starter since Kenny Kelly (245) in 1999.

Stay classy San Diego

Dudes never had a week of practice as a starter, how about chill on bashing the kid . Got to love our classy fanbase.

If they actually play to his strength he'll be successful.

I think our fans have become negative for so long it is hard for them to cheer even for their own players. Everything is hated. Coaches, administration, stadium and players. Golden fired but they still hate their lives.

There's a difference between hating Rosier and being honest about his ability on the field. If you can't see or appreciate that difference then you're really dim and should refrain from commenting on other people until you get your affairs in order.
Let's see: A redshirt freshman QB who only played sporadically in 4 games in garbage time and was asked mostly to hand off the ball to the RB. And you and the posters here know for sure he is not a good QB when given the starting Job. Good for you.
My affairs are on order I suggest to check yours.
Resorting to personal attacks in a football discussion without being provoked? This has been your history in every message board you've been kicked out from.

I'm not surprised as that's why I went out on limb with starting thread and getting trashed. Just glad all turned out well

I tried to tell yall that all he needed was a week prep at #1 .

I've convinced myself that I'm a ******* jeanus!

Pleasantly surprised. That's what happens when you play without cement in your shoes. QB controversy. Keep crying over the loss of Golden, Brad, Vinny's kid is looking for time too.

All I'm going to say is that Rosier played very well for a kid with extremely limited experience. He has the potential to be good but needs more playing. It's a crying shame that Al never let the kid play more. If I was the coach next year I would open up the QB competition. The kid had good wheels and can make throws that Kaaya cannot. That's very simple and clear.

Malik Rosier came up big. I have to say I'm surprised. Statistically he put in a very impressive night.

He finds himself making his first career start on the road in a night vs a ranked Duke team. To make the task more daunting, a Duke team that entered the night with a top 10 defense in the country.

Rosier steps up and says "sorry, all outta fvcks" -- completes an eye-popping 69% of his passes. Goes for 272 yards with 2 scores and only 1 INT. This was a **** of a performance for the freshman. I have to tip my chinstrap to this guy. He rose to the occasion.

If Kaaya is out vs UVA, I'd like to - and I know it will be tough for his tiny brain - see Coley implement some read option plays and other stuff that gets him going more on the ground. I think his feet can add another dimension to his game and make us harder to defend.

Pleasantly surprised. I know a lot of you want to get rid of Coley, but he got that Qb finding voodoo magic. Thats not something you just throw away. I would give him one more year. He would pair well with a good offensive head coach.

a lot of people are eating crow in this thread. lost in the hysteria of the criminal officiating all game and the final play was how well Rosier played. **** good job by him

I eat Crow on this one, the kid had a pretty good night overall. Gotta give some credit to Coley also.

I'm surprised

May I ask based on what?
What we have seen from him before this game was very very limited. I honestly think it is the disenchantment with the program and the coaches tainted many of the fans objective analysis. The kid never had the chance to play meaningful minutes and when he played he was asked to hand off the ball to the RB. Fans assumed he must sucked. I blame the coaches for not letting him throw more and get more experience early in the season to prepare him for times like this.
