Donaldson Back to Guard...

That switch needs to be more than a "possibility." Scaife is a natural so fluid in his movement, and he's a mean sumbytch on top of it.

I don’t know seems like we had more success running against FSU this last game than we did in at least 4 or 5 years. Not saying there isn’t more room for improvement but the run game was solid overall. I think we had over 100 yards on the ground.

Those 5 guys can play. You flat out cant play Jones . Mahoney isn't horrible but he ain't very good either. He should be the 6th OL . Jones need to give these guys the cups of water and I dont mean to be mean to the kid as is I am sure a great kid . Just can't block to save his life against the big boys.
 
I admittedly never watch the oline performance during games my entire 40 years (today) on Earth until being introduced to the staffer Lance Roffers’ (sp?) breakdowns. Since being exposed to his tutelage, the play of Jahair Jones is unconscionable. I’ve literally seen him reach for blocks without moving his legs, watch the DT go around him and then walk to go follow the opposition. He is literally not there, like a mirage.

I remember getting blasted a week or two ago when people were riding mahoneys nuts because he kept "grading out better" than everyone else

watch the game and see his *** get blown up like Jahair getting Perry killed and stuffing the run for us

scaife is our best tackle and needs to be put at LT and move louis back to RT where he had good success last year

as bad as Mahoney is ....he still has his goo dmoments..got a nice pancake on their mlb on the run where Homer took the fs soul.

Scaife needs more reps at RT....and Donaldson is a better guard than our options. They also need to prepare for next year and bring in a Juco Ot or Grad Transfer OT...because honestly none of the guys on the roster can kick out there and be above average...if Scaife came in like such and performs better. We lose St Louis and Gauthier

I've was saying this to myself:youre-nuts:, the entire second-half and after the game; and all day Sunday and all night Sunday. In other words, this new offensive line " combo " will result in a stronger offense and what not.

we are just not strong enough upfront....maybe some coaching but i look at S&C as 1 major shortcoming
 
agree on bringing in some JUCO talent at Tackle...wow was Boulware a find for us pretty much plug and play
need to double our board for tackles period. Richt really had issues at UGA with OL as well
 
This is what ****es me off about Searels, it always takes him half the season to figure out the OLine.

Same sh*t happened in 2016 when we were getting brutalized with Linder at Center, it took until the Va Tech & ND games before he realized he needed to bench Linder for Gall/Gauthier & kick McDermott outside to Tackle. Then last year it took way too long to realize Mahoney was better than Darling & get Gaynor in rotation as well.

I'm happy they finally get it, Scaife is an Elite OL he could be an All-American at Guard or Tackle, there's no reason why a guy like Jones should've been occupying a spot for this long. I'm actually still shocked Z Hillery hasn't been further developed yet. I love his upside & hope he eventually gets on the field next year.

For 2019, I think John Campbell the sleeper of all sleepers will emerge & take one of the Tackle spots opposite of Scaife as a starter.

So you don't think G. Brown, Z. Hillery, or J. Campbell can play OT next season?
 
We did run Scaife, Boulware, Gauthier, Donaldson, St. Louis in the second half. We also moved Donaldson inside several times in and moved Scaife to right tackle. That combo worked. St. Louis cannot play left tackle. Jones and Mahoney were getting beaten on the inside. 55 about killed Perry and beat Jones badly.
