is a possibility, according to CMR this morning.

He needs to make this move. Scaife is our best tackle and it’s not even close.

Donaldson is not only a natural Guard, if he was allowed to stay there and hone his craft, he would be an AA. He did what he was asked by the team and went to tackle, but he really isn't very good at that position (by the way that is NOT a hit on him, O-line is one of toughest, most skilled positions on the field and each position has its unique requirements). Lets hope the freshman grows up quickly and takes on the task of being a great OT

Why does this staff seem slow to adjust to this? We should have been working this rotation before the season!!

That FSU DL is full of talent. It took them kicking our teeth in for a half for the staff to make the switch. Water under the bridge. Let's roll now.

Its frustrating, to hear CMR in the post game conference say 99 is a dude and we shouldve game planned for him blew my mind. Its like this board has a better grasp for personnel than they do

Richt said we did plan for #99 but we waited a little to late to go with that game plan in the game... which was to have a TE or extra help chip him on pass downs which also takes out half of your play book. Which is why they didnt go with that strategy at the beginning of the game. The staff didnt think he would be as disruptive as he was... Most of us didnt either so stop crying and making up ****.

there were at leat 20 posts before the game about the Burns-St. Louis matchup issue,

We need to see big improvements in the run game. Every time we play an above average opponent or when we really need it we get stuffed in the run game. Something gotta give . I mean **** I barely can recall a run play other than that same **** inside zone from the shotgun/pistol

Coaches see it everyday in practice. I have a feeling it's the attempt at balancing what's best for the team and the fact that they made promises to star recruits to tip the scale in recruiting. All staffs do it.

A probable promise to ND was that he would eventually get a genuine shot at playing tackle because that's where the money is on the OLine at the next level. That's no different than the kids who are obvious DB's, or Ath/WR's who demand to get a shot at QB. Eventually they end up either playing the position most suitable or in some cases wasting 2-3yrs of eligiblity trying to force something that isn't there only to never be heard from again.

You're not wrong, but in this case, it was A) rivalry game and B) FSU's run defense is actually good this year.
We do need to change it up more.

When you move a great guard to tackle that he is not good at and replace him at guard with someone not good you ruin two positions. When you flop tackle from one side he is real good at to the other side where he is not you again ruin two positions. Now you have ruined 4 positions instead of just two. That is just stupid. If you can be strong in the middle or strong on at least one side, you can game plan for it, Weak everywhere and the game plan "get your a** whipped.

Thank you!!!!!! Now just move Scaffie to LT, St. Louis to RT and we have our line ready to compete

Your statement is only true if Boulware replaces Jones at the other guard spot on a permanent basis.

Make no mistake about it, Jones and Mahoney are BOTH liabilities.
