FullyERicht had Don Brown listed as one of his "best hires" and deemed the Diaz hire as horrible (to put it mildly). Here is a look at Brown and Diaz from 2009 to present. 2013 is excluded because Diaz was let go.

Average yards per game: Diaz-361 Brown- 332
Scoring Defense: Diaz- 23.8 Brown- 22.23
Of the 6 years, Diaz defenses gave up fewer points than Brown 3 times and vice versa. Even split.

So the difference between a horrible hire and a best hire is approximately 1.6 points per game and 29 yards per game over a six year period and an even split in head to head scoring defense by year.

Facts don't sit well with folks 'round here.

You should look at their opponents average yards per game too because in that 6 year span Diaz coached in SEC West/Big12, while Brown has was in Big East/ACC.

What else do you think a troll would do?

I mean really guys would a troll come on here and be the most hated person on the board or would he mildly fit in?

Thats weak. You obviously didn't read this thread. https://www.canesinsight.com/thread/manny-diaz-breakdown-thread/96004

Whats the difference in the schemes they run? What are Browns weakness?

The numbers don't lie. Results are what matter. There is not a lot of difference in their results. I did not read that thread, and it doesn't change the numbers.

Here's another comparison of Diaz vs Aranda with a common opponent.

Wisconsin vs Alabama

Passing 22/29 264yds 1TD
Rushing 37 238 6.4 4TD

Miss State vs Alabama

15/25 144 1TD 1INT
Rushing 30 235 7.8 2TD
1 special team TD
*Henry broke 2 runs for 140yds
They really stifled Alabama for most of the game. Offense put them in bad positions and only had 26 mins TOP.

Let's just see how this season goes.

Nice try. Variable's matter as well. Talent base, conference... The difference here is Fully dug in and you're doing a very basic numbers compare. How are they in the advance stats compared to each other? That would be more telling.

Where did Brown's defenses finish in overall rankings vs defenses orchestrated by Diaz?

"There are 3 kinds of lies: Lies, damned lies and statistics."

Just breaking your stones. I'm willing to give Richt the benefit of the doubt on all the staff hires. I tend to think he knows better than the illustrious members of CIS, especially FullyEricht. He should stick to yelling about Mom's meatloaf. She might actually listen. Personally, I for one am looking forward to a DC who will attack and attack and attack. I also think Coach Kool's experience is going to be a huge benefit for Diaz. That being said, if FullyEricht is right, it's gonna be sooooo much worse. Please God, let Diaz be the Latino **** LeBeau.

Go Canes!

All about what numbers you show and how you show them. Lies, damned lies, and statistics.
