It seems like Don’s defense has been trending down on a yearly basis
excellent (top 10) defenses 4 years in a row. this year the wheels came off the wagon. it can happen.
he's an excellent DC by any measure. I'd take him in a heartbeat
Michigan has been trending down under Harbaugh. I wouldn't lump Don Brown in with him. This would be a 10000% upgrade over Blake Baker. This is similar to Stoops firing Venables because he needed a scapegoat. Don Brown knows the Miami 4-3 inside and out. You really couldn't ask for a better guy to pair with Diaz than Brown- yes I like the Cincy guy's potential but Miami needs an experienced hand to take over the D and settle things including hiring the right staff- in a couple of years if/when Brown retires, then you can go after the hot new name from a G5. This would be a grand slam hire.
Doesnt this guy run man no matter how lit up his defense is getting? Those OSU games were crazy
What years did he coach there?U know Don was our 1st choice before Manny. We’ve been craving Don; again I like to look at trends; so I would love to know where his defense started and finished at BC prior to taking the UM job.
If not ready to retire he will not be in the unemployed line long enough to draw a checkI would take him in a heartbeat, however, he is 65, so who knows if he actually wants to keep coaching.
"Marshall flips back to Miami".... Lmmmmaooooo just for you, I'm raising my offer to $25. Marshall played us like a gta hooker. Gotta let that dream go big fella.Michigan has been trending down under Harbaugh. I wouldn't lump Don Brown in with him. This would be a 100000% upgrade over Blake Baker. This is similar to Stoops firing Venables because he needed a scapegoat. I've posted the articles before from all the fans and media saying that Stoops had waited too long to fire Venables and that Venables was overrated and couldn't keep the best teams off the scoreboard. Sometimes a guy just needs a change of scenery. Coaches need "that guy." Eddy O had Aranda, Dabo has Venables. I think Brown is the guy who gets Miami's D back to where it needs to be- running a disciplined 4-3 not this havoc nonsense that leaves giant run lanes.
Dream scenario is coming together. Don Brown to Miami DC, Dan Mullen hit with show cause and will leave UF for the NFL, Marshall flips back to Miami. I'm willing this to happen.
I still say hire a DB coachYep we'll take him. DC/LB coach and clearly has developed his LBs at Michigan and at BC. We need an experienced veteran like him. I would even say bring him on as a Co-DC/LB coach and keep Banda as a Co-DC. Still need a CBs coach unless we're going to assign Banda as DC/Secondary coach. Then we just move Patke as full time ST coach and allow him to train under Brown's LB coaching tutelage.
