Manny keeps saying that nothing is proved until the dog days of summer arrive. That's when the players that "need" to start and "love to play" (especially at QB) will rise to the top. We are 24 days to Game 1 against the Lizards. Today is Practice #7. When do the dog days start?

End of week 2. When all you’ve been doing is hitting for a week running the same plays with some install and still not game planning for UF. .. those are the dog days.

When that Florida heat really starts to set in, when guys don’t feel good everyday and their bodies aren’t recovering as fast because of the constant beating they’re taking. At that point we will see who wants it bad enough to push through and who will try to “take plays off”

It's all a ploy to get all the players to give 110% for as long as possible. They already have chosen starters or they have front runners at each position.

So when starters are chosen there's gonna be a mass exodus?
No, but if it were true that the coaches already picked the winners and the players found out, they wouldn't work real hard would they? I'm curious as to why you say the decisions have already been made. Do you have anything beyond just wanting to say something?

Yes I'm throwing an opinion out there just like everybody does here. If you disagree with my opinion it's ok. I don't engage in personal attacks so if you disagree that's fine with me.

Manny is moving the goalpost because of being pleasantly surprise of the teams performance thus far! It's phycological games so far for Manny to push his team to it's limit! Feeley has put a little monkey wrench in Manny's theory by getting these guys in unbelievable shape! And credit goes to the team for wanting it as well!
