Does Va Tech have more talent than us?

They may not have more talent, but right now they have better players.

Look at the depth charts. Va Tech is not starting a bunch of Freshman, and a lot of their starters are redshirts. There is no way a bunch of 18-19 yo kids can match up physically to 20-21 yo players that have had 3 years in a college strength and conditioning program, even if they are "more talented".

Stop making so much sense.

What does that mean? More talent? More NFL players on the roster? More potential?

Sometimes I feel like this board is the football teams mom constantly reassuring them that they're "smart, talented, and by gosh people like you."

Yeah. Virginia tech had a lot more people doing their job correctly because they beat our ***. What's it called when people do their job correctly? Do we call that talent? Depth? Coaching? Potential? Maturity? Does it matter?

The constant bickering over who's to blame is tiring.

The program has consistently done less with more for going on 15 years and now 4 coaches. It's normal to wonder why it's like groundhogs day every season.

Would Jamal Carter start on Bud Foster's defense? Is Jamal Carter physically more gifted than many kids on VTech, probably. He has never learned how to play the game though so what is his talent really?

Did VT start 4 true freshman on D and have 2 starting DL out on Thursday?

And yes ,their QB is way better than our QB.

Jamal Carter would start on VT defense. In fact Carter is PERFECT for that rover position that Foster uses that he keeps that guy near the line of scrimmage and blitzes him, etc. Did you see the fat safety #19 that VT had out there?lol..

Flat out this team has got OUTCOACHED the last 3 weeks....and I leave it to Richt getting accustomed to the acc..so I'm not extremely mad. It's quite obvious..because anyone wi th a brain knows when u play VT you run right at them because they are Always undersized in the front 7..n u attacked the middle of the field against them. Richt didn't even attempt to run or do either or. Unc he did the same...he sh-tted on himself against fsu not realizing how sorry they are on d and was wayyy to conservative..as he gets a hold on the defenses in our league I expect better.
Our defense hasn't been half bad...

The problem with pro style offense in today's college football world is that you have to have far superior talent to succeed. Stanford is struggling, so is Georgia. Miami is not alone. But it's really difficult to put together that kind of team and it certainly doesn't happen overnight[]

Unless he can craft a miracle in the five remaining games, Richt will have to decide if Miami should stick with this struggling pro style offense through next season to accommodate Kaaya even if it potentially means another year of struggle and bad losses.

Because of the progressively worsening failures of the offense, It's quickly becoming the elephant in the room with potential star of the future N'Kosi Perry, an athletic quarterback, committed to join the team next summer.

..Alabama, the top team in the country, recruited America's top drop-back quarterback two years in a row in David Cornwell and Blake Barnett. But both pro style passers were passed up by true freshman Jalen Hurts who brings a run-pass dimension. Barnett has transferred and Cromwell could be the next quarterback to flee Tuscaloosa.

If it can happen to Cornwell and Barnett, it can happen to Kaaya. All Mark Richt has to go by in his ongoing evaluation of the team is what he is seeing and dealing with right now. Richt is not used to losing like this and I feel pretty certain he has no intention of becoming acclimated. The college game has simply changed and the ACC has had an influx the past few years of some very good coaches. Richt has some brutally tough decisions ahead.

Wait, they think we run a pro style offence? We're running a spread offence to accommodate Kaaya's failings. You don't need a dual threat QB to succeed in college - you need a QB that can manoeuvre in the pocket and progress through his reads quickly. Kaaya is a one read statue.
