Does it matter how we won?

Any win over FSU is a great one, and this was two in a row. They ripped our hearts out enough this last decade, it was nice to return the favor... Twice.

For all those who claim rivalry games don't matter, I recall Al Golden teams holding leads against Jimbo just enough to make us sick.

So, no.

No, that game could have easily been a loss. How the D played in the second half they proved that they was on another level. The O converted after the turnovers. That last TD drive 70+ Yards, Perry and the offense showed why they were better.

I never expected a blowout, also didn't expect to be down 27-7. It doesn't matter as long as we won.

Against weaklings like Pitt, UNC, UVa? Yes. Against FSU or other really talented teams like Clemson? No. Those teams will get theirs because they're talented we just have to make sure we're not giving up things they aren't good at. If Clemson is horrible on 3rd down or running the ball then make them look like it. That's all I ask.

We should win every game left on our schedule. I don't care how, just win.

This was better than a 20 point win.......

We actually won the game in the last 5 minutes decisively. We could've easily scored two TD's there. Also, Richt told Homer not to score on the last drive. He wanted to make sure FSU never got the ball back.

Anyone who was at that game last night and doesn’t think that was a spectacular win, just, I don’t know what you live for...

It wasn’t the game that I hoped and expected to see, but we sure got our money’s worth. Very gutty, gritty performance by this team, coaches, and the fans. So proud to be a Miami Hurricane last night.

We can get in to game analysis later in the week, for now, Fock the seminoles. 2 in a row baby!!

Glass half empty or full?
It was the LSU game part 2. Pregame scuffle, opposing team punched us in the mouth like biatches...then team came out with zero fire, got mauled and manhandled. The difference is that FSU is terrible, no where near LSU, so we were able to make a fierce late comeback, almost purely due to our defense. Yes, Richt did go on 4th back to Cager, yes the throws to Thomas and Brevin were great, but the overall playcalling was abysmal. Year 3. Ditto for abysmal special teams. Year 3. Zero Probation. Zero loss of 30 scholarships. Where is the emotion and fire at kickoff?
The other way to look at it is that god awful corch Willie freaking Taggart, FIRST YEAR, with a terrible team (lost to Samford!!), came in and **** near beat us at home...in Year 3. I'm happy we won, but all the signs are there for all but the biggest slurpers to see.

Exactly...after that punt return they could have folded but didn't. The team believed and Perry made some great reads and throws to help bring us back. The crowd was electric and they're energy definitely helped the team.

As my Nole buddy told me last night "this one hurts because we we're up 20 in the 3rd and blew it."

I agree but people still won't be happy. Last year they were complaining how close we were winning

This year we're winning more decidedly which speaks to our improvement

A win is a win, especially over a rival. Is this team where it should be? No, but this team is still in good position to make most of the goals stated at the beginning of the season. Miami can and should be in position to play Clemson for the ACC Title, and hopefully a spot in the playoff. That said, there remains a lot of work to be done, especially offensively. This team fought like ****, that's a big difference from the last decade, where Miami rarely showed this kind of resolve. Sometimes, you have to win ugly, you have to find it within yourself to crawl back in the game, and Miami did that. I won't ever complain about a win over FSU, but I know there will be a ton of corrections in film study today and tomorrow.
