Seriously, how has this guy NOT gotten an HC gig somewhere? I know he is probably the second highest paid person at VT, but I can't believe a really deep-pocketed school like Texas couldn't make him the highest paid DC in the country. I for one would do backflips if Miami gave this guy the HC once the BOT/President/AD finally cut the cord with Loser Al.

Saw on board before that he has a serious drinking problem. Don't know if true or not.
 
Then AL needs to hit the bottle. Clearly has not affected his defense's performance
 
He is a drunk. I've seen it first hand many times. He has handlers when they travel, to make sure he doesn't get out of hand.
 
Nobody would that what success can be that big of a drinking problem. He probably just likes a strong drink like a man

Foster is beastly, knows wtf he's doing and is quite content with life in the backwoods. Hes earned enough to live like a hill-billy cocaine drug lord and walks into neighbouring villages and drags women by their hair to his mountain side lair.

I hate VT....but absofreaklutely love his D.

Foster's agent might be the guy that can't handle his booze. The guy is only making around $500k a year which barely puts him in top 5 assistant salaries in the ACC. He got some deferred annuity this year of like $800k but that was only even given once VT was scared that Pitt was going to hire him years ago and Vandy showed interest. The guy literally must show up to these HC interviews drunk and having been prepped by Randy Shannon though as he should have gotten a shot somewhere by now.
 
He has interviewed for numerous jobs over the years but never been hired. Either he is a terrible interview, has baggage, or just decided he is happier not being the face of the program. My guess is he has no interest in doing the schmoozing and fundraising circuit that comes with being the head coach
 
Foster's defense last night was a thing of beauty. Aggressive man/man utilizing the speed and athletism of his players.
 
that defense was a thing of beauty last night, that is how defense should be played, I think he made him self a lot of money last night.

I like how you just threw the $800k in deferred comp in there like it's no big deal because it fits your narrative. Do you have a link to the $500k figure?

Judging by the nasty way his defenses play, I assume he would start the interview with Donna like this: "**** you are ugly! I would f....k you with someone else's thang.! You're gonna have to pay me extra to be seen with you. What a friggin dog!"

What narrative do I have? I don't exactly get my rocks off by saying that an ACC rival is underpaying a great coordinator. I wouldn't say that making a guy wait five years to get a small payment (by current coach salary standards) is exactly ruining my "narrative".

Now go do a little googling on your own and see how much Mich St is paying its highly respected DC that just had his defense crushed by Oregon and tell me that Foster is adequately compensated. Doing so would lead me to believe that you're the one with the "narrative" - that of a VT apologist.
