that was a surreal game experience... I remember walking to my car at Linda's house, hearing grown men crying/screaming/kicking the crap out of the interiors of their cars....
 
The curse of Larry Coker, when it comes to the Hurricanes. It went so far downhill after a few years of him that we never really recovered. Then joining a conference that protects some schools and punishes others didn't do us any favors. It has nothing to do with the OB.
 
I heard the city is still in debt for Marlins stadium, they also would’ve spent less money to full renovate the OB, and the Canes would’ve made the city more money, even if you’re not being biased about the OB Marlins park was a bad investment

I have come to really like Hard Rock, but it's hard to argue it isn't cursed when you look at the way the Canes and Dolphins have lost games in absurd ways (and had umpteen seasons ruined there).

Coker was handed a Lamborghini and turned it into a CRV.
 
Let’s be clear for the younger folks who may not be clear on Coker. He was hired to play a role in the takedown of the program, that was the long view from the midget commie. He won because the talent was such that he could not loose.

They darn near lost that championship against both BC and VT. That team was so talented there should have never been a game within 3 TDs. 2002 we struggled mightily as well. What a disaster of a hire Coker was.

At least the Canes now are a solid program with some promise. The Phins are legit one of the biggest joke franchises in all professional sports.

Virginia Tech had a pretty good team that year, but Miami should’ve won that game by 10, now The BC game shouldn’t have been close at all, Miami should’ve won that game by 30
