(Does anyone know about) Brevin/Bubba (because I don’t)

Or at least fingers that can grasp.

What if... now... hold on... stay with me... it's gonna get a little complicated here. What if a receiver could catch without his hands? What if, there was like a hole, in the middle of his body, that just absorbed the football? And maybe, we could like... I don't know... genetically engineer wide receivers that could catch in another way? I know... it sounds crazy.

But I also think it's the only solution to catching the football at this point.

You say these things, but...

1) We've seen a plethora of Canes drop well below their projections in the last few years. Gerald Willis, in particular, was alarming, and...
2) Miami football players totally suck absolute ***, dude.

1) A plethora? One dude is not a plethora. What we've seen a plethora of are dudes who have no business declaring and are marginal picks at best, declaring and becoming truck drivers. See: Bandy, Trajan, among many others. Brevin is a high-character kid with no red flags, conduct wise, unlike Willis. I do agree with you though, the Willis slide was crazy, but that's certainly not the trend.
2) Yep. The worst. I don't watch the games, I just come on this board to see what's going on with the team and I am sad to realize that we went 0-11 this year and every kid on the roster will be going pro in something other than sports. RIP in peace to their careers.

I know that since this is a Miami board and we're all Miami fans, that the sentiment here is every single Miami player sucks absolute ***. Cause that makes sense. But back on Earth, Jordan is pretty much a consensus Top 3-4 TE and will do VERY well at the combine, provided he declares, of course. He's a VERY likely Day 2 pick. He has literally zero risk of sliding into the 5th+ round. None.

But, carry on with the dragging. It's par for the course here.
Injury prone TE who isn't the most consistent pass-catcher seems like borderline day 2 pick for me.

Do you remember when Mel Kiper (who, in fairness, I hate so, so much) projected Kayaa as a first rounder? Remember when Michael Jackson was a 1st rounder?

I, as an alum and former "administrator," am super happy to have seen us go 0-11 this year. I lobbied hard for a full schedule, because 0-13 would have been much better. I love how we have all these kids who want to play football and hate to win. We've really struck gold there. Frequently, I wonder... what could we do worse? But I suppose everything can't be perfect, and we're bound to win every once in a while.

You’re not an NFL GM. Do some research. You also said 4th round with a high risk to slide later. That’s nowhere near Day 2. Day 2 is rounds 2 and 3. If he declares, he’s not going any later than that. And he doesn’t have any risk of going in Round 5, never mind a high risk.

Pitts is a 1st rounder. Freiermuth is the very heavy favorite for TE2. Then Jordan enters the discussion at TE3, with a couple other kids. Round 5 is out of the question.

Feels like the entire program is just in a bunker

Happens every year when we end the season on a losing streak. Nothing gets out, players going at the fans, decisions delayed, etc

But when we won our last bowl and closed out on a 5 game win streak the guys announced the next day or a few days later and everything was out in the open. It is what it is I guess
King getting injured and now staff changes certainly don't help speed up the process this cycle....

his blocking got exposed a bit at times. NFL is full of monsters. he needs to gain a bit of weight/strength. physically he looked smaller this year

We had a splashy offseason last season. We had a splashy offseason the year before. Our problems, frankly, are fewer now than they were before. We have an OC. We have a QB. We are recruiting well.

Make the right changes on D and the momentum keeps rolling along.

When these guys were at Gorman here in Vegas they were treated as all world. Pampered to the max. A lot of drama with their recruitment. If they come back its only because their stock has dropped. Don’t matter next season hasn’t even started yet and we are down our QB and off to 0-1 start.

Our Canes needed more than that in 2020...... to catch balls in games....

You seem to have the time, so go ahead and count how many balls were dropped that hit our WR's in the hands, shoulders, head and body, but they were so inept, that they never caught the **** ball, and lost numerous games because of this...not complicated just facts.

I will leave the genetically engineering to you.....I just want our Canes to win football games, and not look like idiots that can't , catch the **** ball, at crucial times in games.

This is not a solution question/ answer, it is just doing your job that your scholarship expects in ALL games.........we failed. F

@DMoney

Are they staying or going? It’s been a week since the bowl

The fact they didn't opt out of the bowl game could bode well, but who can tell with these kids these days.

Based on past history and the culture of this program, I'd say they're both 100% gone—but maybe someone will eventually break this idiotic trend of not-ready players going pro early.
