"Under NCAA rules covering postseason bans, players are allowed to transfer without sitting out a season as long as their remaining eligibility is shorter than or equal to the length of the ban."

How much loyalty does he have to his alma mater?

Unfortunately we're not in a position to benefit from this. We're already tight on space and we have an NCAA cloud hanging over our heads. **** shame too, they have some decent players and we are insanely thin at a few spots.

We have a couple spots open. Dillard didn't qualify, RRA was dismissed and Witt is not playing football anymore.

Hard to see a kid coming here to escape sanctions. If there is, I would assume they would evaluate on a case by case basis.

Take any player that is decent. Penn State transfers do not count against the scholarship limit.

Dillard didn't qualify......not per Al Golden....DD is expected to be in for Fall Camp

Additionally, the NCAA is considering waiving scholarship limits for programs to which these football student-athletes transfer, provided they reduce proportionately in the next year. For example, the limit is 25 new scholarships per year to a total of 85 scholarships. If the limits are waived in 2012-13 to accommodate one Penn State student-athlete who wishes to transfer to a particular school already at the limits, in 2013-14 the school will be limited to 24 new scholarships and 84 total scholarships.

That job won't be looking like a good choice 4 years from now. No matter what happens with us, we'll still be in a much better spot than them 4 years from now. They'll essentially become the Duke of their conference for the foreseeable future.

4 years before they get a credible head coach agian and recruiting gets better. they wont be any good for about 7 years though.

I'd be more interested in their recruits. O'Brien was killing it up there. Hope Golden is on the phone with that stud TE.
