Do you wish Richt hadn’t been presurred into retirement?

He seems to enjoy his richtirement.. not to mention the heart attack. He needs the rest

you know, through all of the crap that's happened with the program over the last year, i completely forgot about the co-dc dumpster fire that was about to happen.

Richt claimed he was doing a big national search for DC. Then he tried to create suspense by staring the date and time he’d make the big announcement about the new DC hire.

Then he promotes 2 guys on staff.

Honestly I don't think we would be in a much better position with Richt. Remember we were going to have a Banda/Patke Co DC situation and the offense was going to be the same trash.

What sucks is Richt basically gave us a get out of jail free card and Flake James totally botched it.

I kind of forgot about that Banda/Patke co-DC thing. The memories are flooding back to me now.

Anyway, the real advantage of Richt is that this would be the end of his tenure. Before the heart attack, he would have been on his way to getting fired as soon as the regular season ended. After the heart attack, he probably would have resigned and an interim would coach out the year.

But that's the thing Richt let us off the hook with having no buyout. We should have been able to use the money we saved on him to find a higher profile coach. Flake totally screwed the pooch on the search.

No....I wish the UM administration hadn't colossally fvcked up the Coach Search and hire.
They were given a winning lottory number not having to pay Rich a buyout.....and procedded to wipe their Asssss with it.

All 6 plays we’d be running this year, exhausting the playbook. Imagine that!

I get what you're saying but Richt would have missed out on a ton of recruits and transfers. Diaz seemed to lock down an entire recruiting class before the season started and even at 3-4 they're riding with him. It's almost like he saw this coming and brought in a full class worth of commits before the season started. Hmm interesting

Richt wasn’t pressured into retirement. What he was doing wasn’t working and he was given the courtesy to make the changes but Richt wanted to be stubborn and chose to resign.
