Do you wish Richt hadn’t been presurred into retirement?

It would have spared us from having Manny as head coach.

If Richt coRched it up this year (which he probably would have), we’d fire him. His replacement wouldn’t be Diaz, since Diaz would be such a disaster at Temple.
Only pressure Mark got was self-inflicted for not ****-canning his son. If he'd have a Dan Enos we'd probably have repeated a 10-2 season.

No.....you could tell Richt's heart wasn't in it anymore. It was ti.e to move on. I'm just not sure we moved in the correct direction.

Noob starts 50 threads, gets called out, come back the next day as new troll.

Maybe to keep pushing threads critical of the administration off the first page?
Nahh, to sophisticated for them. Just another Miami hater. The ****ed up thing is that you have long time posters who are to stupid too spot them and will openly like their ****** bull**** posts.

little harsh. its just football. dont kill the man for a sport. just send him to the unemployment line
I got to disagree here, I like a lot of what you post but we part ways right here. After the pain that has been inflicted on me by this “man’s” hire and retention, all I can see is red.

Rick just got tired, plain and simple. He didn't have the energy to pusue making changes. Having the heart attack this year probably has something to do with whatever was going on with him then. If he was hitting full stride, yes, he is better than Manny. Definetly capable of winning Corstal fairly regulary, but probably not much more.

Never liked Richt. It was a Flake weak hire of a rejected corch. We’re still cursed by his incompetence.

I wish we had a competent administration that never hired Shannon, Golden, Richt, or Diaz.

If we had people in charge who gave a **** about this program, and had any sense of what they were doing.....we wouldn't be having this conversation.

And to answer the original question, it doesn't matter. The version of Richt we got was the guy who was run out of town by Georgia. A guy on the clear downside of his career who got here with a foot out the door toward retirement. The results would maybe be one or two less losses...which would mean he'd be safer than where Diaz is now....so I say no. Of the two optionS I'm kinda glad Manny got the job cause he's easier to fire and maybe....just maybe.....this time around this will spur change where we need it the most, THE ADMINISTRATION OFFICE. This last horrible hire JUST MIGHT be what finally triggers change. If THAT happens, then that alone makes the Manny hiring worth it.

Agree and that upgrade in recruting personal needed to be on the D side of the ball. Say what you want about CMR but his side of the ball did recruit at an elite level or atleast near elite.
They really did recruit really well given how ****** the product on the field was.
