Do you feel it in the air? Mock signing Day class

QB1. Cerebral. Not a huge threat to run but can move the pocket and keep the play alive. Adequate arm, potent accuracy. Better than anything we have on the roster now.

QB2. True dual-threat. Mechanics can get sloppy at times but has the work-ethic to clean that up. Low-risk take, ceiling is All-American, floor is solid depth/situational QB.

RB, bit of a thumper. Initiates contact, keeps lower body moving and finishes off opponents. Can move the pile at the goal line.

SDE, all business, nasty get-off. Money position is DT, future All-American with another 20-30 lbs if explosiveness off the line is maintained.

CB's: Long-time commits from a feeder school, athletic freaks, cover like white on rice. Rumor has it the staff has soured on both due to lacking ideal size, potential drop candidates. Look for us to scour the portal.

If kids keep flirting with other school or push back signing you could see some changes. If you tell the staff you’re signing early and have the grades they don’t cure you as a commit anymore. Just something to remember down the road.

I mention this because of Payton.

Transfers want playing time and likely a lot of it. Don't think a grad transfer is going to come here knowing they'll have to compete with two high end prospects that played well enough as freshmen. They'll want to go somewhere where they're all but assured a starter type of workload.

Don't need a grad transfer though. With the immediate eligibility rule this year with COVID could be a RS Freshman coming in. With that said I have no clue what young, relatively local good RB is out there that may want to come home but just wanted to point out our options are not limited to a grad transfer
