* Longo says Miami's defensive ends may be the best pair UNC has faced since he's been here. Miami's DL is aggressive and is intent on getting vertical up the field, which makes pulling a challenge against them. Linebackers fill in the gaps and the secondary is fast. This is not a game where UNC has an advantage on the back end with regard to speed. Wide receivers are going to have to battle to get open.

From the UNC 247 board:

I remember the vast majority of this board were skeptical of the D'Eriq King preseason hype, thinking he couldn't possibly all that.
Well, all he's done this season is prove week after week that the hype was warranted. 2,800 yards from scrimmage (almost 500 rushing yds), 24 TDs, and he's throwing it deep (9 air yards/attempt) and with a level of accuracy some would find surprising (64% completion percentage).
Their DL doesn't mess around, either. Even without surefire top 15 pick Greg Rousseau, they've racked up 25+ sacks and, more impressively, 70+ TFLs.
The good news there is their games against Louisville, Clemson, and NCSU showed you can put up points against them.
IMO, the biggest difference between us and Miami this year is that Miami won the games they were supposed to and we didn't. They're beatable, but they're also #10 for a reason.

After going 6-7 last season, losing to FIU, Duke, and Louisiana Tech, and having QBs get high before games, I think he absolutely should be.

I wanted Manny fired last season, but the data is clear. We have improved and he is recruiting well. I think he's done a **** of a job this year.

We better beat UNC though lol

I really hope the stadium is juiced up. Was scheduled to go to original date but unfortunately can’t make this one.

That's one logical and grounded UNC fan.

I mean, a year ago the sky was falling and the program was an embarrassing dumpster fire. Today we're two wins from finishing 10-1 with our only loss being to then #1 ranked Clemson. If he's able to pull that off he should definitely be in the conversation.

I'm not an "8-1 bro", sunshine pumper who dreams of gurgling Manny's drip, but at the end of the day you are what your record is and he absolutely deserves credit for righting the ship.

I agree, the outcome of Saturdays game is huge for Manny and the program going forward. Finish 10-1 and pretty much everyone forgets about last season, and we have a **** ton of momentum heading into next year.

Hard to argue that anyone else is more deserving. Bryan Kelly maybe.. if they win the ACC.

If Manny closes out the season it would be hard to make an argument for anyone else.
