I get the feeling this in a once in 10-20 year opportunity we have. The question is, do we REALLY want to play big boy football? If so, this is our opportunity to "move it on up, to the Eastside" as in George Jefferson.

We have to shoot the wad here and set a standard. We have spend whatever is needed on a great AD. We have spend BIG on a coach. We have spend big on a staff. We will also have to get back in the bag game, maybe, if needed. ;)

What do y'all think we do? Does the BOT go all in and pay whatever is needed to get the best we can for an AD, Coach and Staff or do we go half *** and fall further behind to the elite. By all in, I mean in the top 5-10% in the country in terms of AD, Coach and Staff pay.

Man, I sure hope we go all in, if we don't, I think we will continue to meddle in the middle of the college football pack. I will pop up a poll just for the **** of it.
Thanks for reading and commenting. GO CANES! :neonu::11263272045-489f4f7972-o:

Everything is trending towards a Mario or bust scenario.

I really hope the winds of change are not derailed if we have to go a route other than Mario

Nah, I'm trying to be optimistic. Wait and see.

The AD hire is the most important hire, not the head coach. It doesn't have to be Mario, and if it's not you need someone who can evaluate the right person to be here instead. I would love Mario but to think Mario is the only person right now who can make Miami successful is flawed thinking.

I think they’re really going to make a financial commitment this time thanks to getting embarrassed by Herbstreet. Whether they hire the right people or not remains to be seen.

Do you know how much money ESPN makes off of a strong Canes Program?

A revived Miami/Notre Dame rivalry?

Jeebus….
