Do we really run a pro style?

Serious question. It seems by most peoples standards even NFL teams aren't running "pro style" offenses. Only three teams in the NFL have active FB's on their roster (all good teams). The game has changed & most teams spread the ball out & get it to players in space & have a guy at QB who is a threat to run & pass. There are a few outliers that are greats (rodgers, brady) but for the most part the league is switching to QB 2.0's.

I get what people say when we run a pro style, but fact is even the pros have evolved. Why have we been insistent all these years on this type of offense that take excellent personnel all around? Maybe i'm mistaken & i'm wrong about what a pro style offense is.

We run a bro style offense because even the pros have embraced spread more than we have.. We are LOST from top to bottom.. You can tell that when Diaz says he wants innovative offense and then trots that crap on field and says its enough to win..

Would be a great question for the media to ask him. "What is innovative about Miami's offensive scheme?"

Enos reverts to running "pro style"often. Too often for my liking. I am assuming when fans say pro style they are referring to tight or bunch formations involving utilizing 21, 12, and 22 personnel. I'm not sure if 11 personnel fits the narrative of pro style on this site or not.

With that said from reading what Lance Roffers and Roman Marciante videos and posts it's pretty clear the offense is a lot more than just "pro style". These breakdowns are great at showing player miscues as well. Maybe the offense is too complicated, ,maybe the coaches can't coach, maybe the players are too lazy or stupid, but either way, execution is far from perfect.

We have seen read options, run-pass options, spread, shotgun, pistol, etc... The videos posted here and screenshots posted show a number of plays with 3 or 4 wideouts on the field spread out. The offense is variable as advertised and often adds in wrinkles to existing looks and plays to take advantage of defenses keying in on past tendencies.

My biggest disappointment outside of the bizarre playcalling is the motions and shifts of the offense appear to have been cut back (maybe I'm not watching close enough). I firmly believe if the team could execute those without constant penalties the quarterbacks reads would be that much easier.

We are More closer to a pro style than a spread that’s for sure. Saddening part is that’s the offense Diaz wanted to run which included a fullback, he said it in one of the hurricane hotline interviews

Which teams are doing this? There is really only 1 right now and that is Lamar because not everyone has a Cam that can take the brutal punishment. Name the teams that are using QB 2.0

This isnt 2010, QB's are babied like **** now. None of them take any brutal hits. This is why Brady is still playing. Qb's just don't get hit like other players do & if they do it's a penalty.

The list of teams using them is longer than the ones not. & some of the ones that aren't are looking to draft one. I didn't say they make running a priority like Lamar & Cam. Just that they are a legit threat & that teams have to account for. The non mobile QB is dwindling yearly in the NFL .

My point is this isn't new age....this is the standard that GMs have been looking for, for a long time. The ability to buy yourself a couple of extra ticks to deliver the ball is always something you look for in a QB. think Phillip Rivers. Not a runner, but someone who can buy himself time and deliver. My point is that this isn't some type of new revolution.

It's not new, but it's more prevalent now than ever. Especially with all the RPO's now, running an RPO with 3 options (QB run, RB run, Pass) can be deadly.
