Do We Really Need Another Portal QB in ’26?

I have a question... not trying to be funny either. We're complaining about this offense right? And how old/slow it is.... But isn't this the same offense that was ranked #1 last yr? So in my eyes, yes a great QB would be what we need.

SC is terrible. With what we could surround him with, especially with our pass blocking, he could absolutely put himself in the running to go #1. I mean.. Beck has been sacked 4x. LaNorris has already been sacked 33x.

That being said.. I won't even try to act like all his issues are on SC. He'd still be a huge risk. Especially for Mario. But so is holding out and getting stuck with Emory.

Why is everyone convinced this OL will be as good pass blocking next year?
 
I wouldn't be mad if we just rolled with Emory. Dude is more Miami than Beck. At least EW laid it out and sacrificed his elbow for a game. That bum Beck out here sacrificing our whole *** season.

Contra: Meanwhile, we bring 4 stars and reverse-develop them into 2 stars.

I mean, at this point we could get the same performance out of Emory without the NIL pricetag of Beck.

Our offense looks the same as it did with Emory vs Clemson and FSU a few years ago.

We have an offensive philosophy problem.

I honestly don’t care anymore wether it’s Emory or a transfer because it’s not going to matter unless a Cam Ward is going to walk through that door and tell the coaches to **** off and he runs the offense on his own.

100% we should be buying the best qb on the market, whether it’s sellers or someone else we have 2 months to scout and make the decision

Yep and with that kind of qb, Mario will be much more likely to keep it safe in a plodding offense than let him let it rip.

The dream scenario is to go all-in with morris as OC and his qb as our QB1
