Do We Pay Recruits To Visit?

I was reading about how this kid Samari Matthews surprised a lot of people by taking an official to Miami this weekend in lieu of going to Clemson. I assume this means we are paying the kid something to visit?

Not that I have any issue with paying kids to visit, but does anyone know how common this practice is? I'd also be curious how much kids are being paid to visit.

No payments to visit or stipends. That's other schools in the state and other places. They will be talking NIL these summer visits, though. You have to when pressing for a commit.
