Do we need guys like Thomas?

LOL. It doesn’t matter that he got more targets than others in this **** heap offense. It matters that he didn’t get ENOUGH.

This offense is a toilet. And it’s run by guys who don’t know how to lead and get the most out of their charges. I can’t blame the players for boiling over after going through this nightmare season.

Thomas was on pace for basically 40 receptions or less - in a 12 game season(where he basically missed one full game due to dehydration).

I mean, people dont see a problem with this type of production or opportunity given to a player of this caliber? (And you can make any judgement you want on his behavior, but that's not the point here. This system sux)

cager, Jahair Jones, Trayone Gray,Malik,Tyree St Louis, Tyler Gauthier, Hayden Mahoney, Travis Homer are all upper classmen, and let's not forget that many of our defensive players saw the field young and still performed. Redwine, JJ, Joe Jack, the three (at the time) freshmen linebackers never went through these kinds of poor stretches and turmoil.

The D did go through stretches where they stunk. It was around the time people were calling for Manny’s head.

And your list is a bunch of underachievievers and one running back.

Now compare them to JJ, Quarterman and the Jacksons.

There is no comparison.

I’m not saying it’s the whole problem but it is a part of it.

The defense was never as bad as the offense is, check the statistics and ranking. People responded to bad games by the defense, the offense is having bad seasons. Also, isn't part of the problem that the offensive staff regularly produces underachievers? Why can Diaz squeeze good performance out of Golden's players and young players where Richt can't.

edit: just checked on espn, and when checking Points Per game, the worst defensive ranking is 21 and the best offensive ranking is 34 LOL!

Offensive perfomances have been much worse with the same caliber of recruiting star players. Am I really supposed to believe that it's just coincidence/bad luck that all the underachievers are on the same side of the ball?

OK, cool. But none of this justifies leaving his teammates before the season even ends. This mentality goes way beyond sports with youth and is a major problem.

And seriously he left for NFL dreams but rumored to go to ****hole Illinois? Their passing offense is worse than ours, 119 of 130 teams.

Just man up, finish the season and say hey I'm not feeling it here and look to transfer. There is no justification for quitting on your teammates. Sadly, this is the 3rd time he's done so in his short career.

You think an NFL team is just going to overlook that?
He also has the coaches and staff of his back, plus his family back home. We dont know what's going on in that young man's life, but you sit here and judge him and point out everything he's done wrong like you've been there before! You're a joke!
I wish Thomas nothing but the best, he's made it further than all the rest from his block.
