Do We Fix the Penalties This Year?

Down 7, 3rd and 2, most likely 4 down territory at that point, and we get a false start and settle for a FG

Just like Wario is guaranteed to deliver 1-2 losses every year as a double digit fave, his teams are always guaranteed to be heavily penalized. That has been the case every year since he has was at Oregon.

The last 3 years for penalty yards per game, we’ve ranked:

2022- 103rd

2023- 106th

2024- 118th

Does this team show significant improvement this year with a more mature roster or is this part of the DNA?

Curious on everyone’s thoughts here.

Penalties are a DIRECT result of the head coach. When it continually happens for almost 4 years there is ONLY one conclusion. The head coach has no answers and can't resolve the issue. Again, he is an OL coach and a **** of a recruiter. NOT HEAD COACHING MATERIAL AT ALL! He reminds me of Mike McDaniel so much! Except Mike can't talk on interviews or post game shows. Mario can talk but is full of total BS. Yeah MARIO, we to work harder. How about working SMARTER dummy

If I remember correctly, that was Samson and it happened again on a defensive line shift (exactly what UiF started to do against us) and we have yet to adjust to that tendency.

That’s coaching!
