Do we 1997 this thing?

You really need to jump in on a Butch comment for the 1,000,0000th time???

Then what? Someone says something you don’t like about Butch or your relationship with Butch or other players?

Then what? You attack them and they attack you.

Wash rinse repeat.
They can attack the truth till they turn blue in the face...means absolutely nothing to me whatsoever. I speak Facts...they just have a hatred for Butch because of him leaving, spewing falsehoods about the situation, not knowing the real truth. Here we are for 19 straight yrs with the same nonsense.

Most of them agree with you, they just like to get you riled up.

Look Man...I spoke with Kehoe and Sarge for a good while Sat (as I told you yesterday)...and both agreed that we've gotten away from what they, and Butch implemented back in the day. Butch was walking around Watsco meeting, greeting and reminiscing, and he STILL was treated like royalty more than anyone present. I watched from a distance how many former players and coaches gravitated toward him non stop for over an hour. Then last night I was talking to Tony Fitzpatrick on the phone, and he wasn't a happy camper, and that's putting it mildly.

For those of us that have lived through this non sense for the past 20 years, It’s as obvious as the nose on our faces that we’ve gotten away from what made us successful all the years prior. Rehashing all of that won’t fix the problems we have today.

For me, the jury’s still out on Mario. He’s obviously got his hands full. One thing we can be hopeful about is former players seem to believe he can get it done. We didn’t get where we’re at overnight and it won’t get fixed overnight. Mario’s off to an inauspicious start. All we can do is hope his process will take hold sooner rather than later.

I spoke to some former players who are absolutely livid, not so much in Mario...but some of the assistants.

I believe it. Steele and Gattis are getting dragged weekly. Minibal's OL gets no push. Salavea and Wright aren't inspiring tons of confidence. Strong can't find the right combination while Frierson sits. DBs are underperforming. RBs won't stop fumbling.

Ponce may deserve credit for TVD's big day but is any other assistant maximizing the talent at their respective unit? Maybe Malouf?

also butch dealt with actual issues beyond football. Mario has been given everything and more to coach here. its very diff situations. we need to stop this doing butch Mario comparisons. @SWFLHurricane will tell you that
Too late , @SWFLHurricane bat signal is already up. He’s currently putting on his Butch man suit and heading out the door lol .

Nah....I spent 2hrs with Butch, Sarge and Kehoe, Sat at Watsco...I saw how many coaches and former players gravitated to him as if a messiah walked in the arena...Lol

As much as I want a COMPLETE youth movement it just doesn’t happen in CFB anymore bruh because they fire coaches so much. In our case Mario could get away with it cause they stuck with him. But I don’t think he would do that lol.

I actually think Mario has at least this year to do this, there's no way they fire him for pure football reasons, IMO

I don’t think they would ever fire Coach Cristobal. They invested so much into him. The day they move on from him is the day Miami football is no longer a thing.

Youth movements mean you're packing it in for the season. You're now placing development over winning.

You guys seriously want this just 5 games in and just 1 ACC game? Well I don't.

Don't give up on the season so quickly. Just go be ****ed and come back.

What we did see was TVD going ape****. Mallory starting looking like a threat we hoped he would. Brashard Smith keeps getting better. There was a Ladson sighting. We're getting closer. We got 5 sacks.

Its on the road but VT might just be inept enough for us to get the win.
