Do these RB stats scare you?

You know who had top 10 ranked defenses last? Indiana. Georgia. PSU. OSU. The 4 teams ND had to play in the CFP.
Both played USC at USC. PSU trailed the entire game & won by 3 in OT on a horrible PI call. ND led the entire game & won by 14.
PSU plays two games a year, loses both, goes 10-2 & they celebrate a 10 win season as of the accomplished something.

Wow a ND defender on our site. Your team is sauce homie. Got lucky Georgia started a true freshman in his first ever game during a playoff. Miami would have dropped fidy on Indiana last season. I could careless if Penn St wins or losses, the Big Ten is a tougher schedule than ND will ever have which is why they dropped playing Michigan as soon as they had the opp.

At some point in time during the season, it's possible that we're going to suck. If you get ahead of the curve right now, you can proclaim how correct you were later.

Now objectively, they have a QB getting his first start on the road against a hated rival. If the roles were reversed, we'd be very concerned about having to be one dimensional until the QB got confidence and we'd wonder if Love was up to the task. Porsters would be pointing out his stats were padded by a few big runs. They be swearing we'll be lucky to keep it within a couple of scores.

Simply looking at Box score stats doesn't actually tell you what happened, or how, or why.

I still don’t know why these people just put stats up like it’s the end all be all.

I checked the stats after watching highlights that I didn't feel were all that impressive.

He likes to hurdle and out run slow dbs and is capable of putting together some tough runs but I didn't see any of that happening consistently against elite comp
He did have that tough td against Penn Stste in the playoff.

JS I'm not convinced he's elite elite by his stats or highlights.

hes one cut and big and fast, he looks slow but hes moving pause. That size he has the ability to break arm tackles. Those are the ones to me are most dangerous especially if they can run away from LBs and DBs. The DL has to play like that 2016 or 17 game so he doesnt get a head of steam. Interested to see what he did against OSU who was elite

He was dinged up to finish the season apparently so he didn't do a whole lot down the stretch

stopping their run game is key to the win, idk wtf they have at QB tbh. Unless they have a world beater I dont know about we can win that one. Unless their QB is supposed to be a good one I have no idea
 
I remember in 17 when they had the Heisman contender that some of their fans in blue lot told me was going to run all over us. Beat their asses and rubbed their faces into the ground before the boys did the same thing to that guy on the field.

Grandson of one of Michigan's all time coaches. Big time recruit but a TF I believe.

I think the Intel coming out of fall camp will be reflected in the betting lines. I expect the line to get tightwr as we get to kickoff once people see what we have in fall camp and maybe more importantly what they don't have at QB. If he looks like the real deal in fall camp the line should move in NDs favor.

If we hadnt been complete dog**** on D and imploded down the stretch as usual. We would be favored in this game. The fact the line is even close is an indicator how much uncertainty surrounds Notre Dames QB situation and the amount of cautious optimism people have in Becks ability to step in and the defenses potential to step up.
