Can they get a free year like CFB players?

If not, the news about Lykes does not sound great. I think you have to consider redshirting him if this goes into Feb.

If they year are allowed another year we would have a **** of a team next year and probably use all our scholarships for the first time in 10 years.

Bueller Bueller. Anyone know?
Yes. L said before the season that he didn’t anticipate anyone taking the NCAA offer, but perhaps the injury situation has changed things for Lykes and/or Sam. Rodney already said he’s done.

Updates from the Herald today, says...

Coach L is expecting to lose Rodney Miller (graduation), Sam Waadernburg (play pro ball in Australia), Kam McGusty (overseas pro) and Deng Gak (graduation) after this season. He's not sure what Nysier Brooks is going to do. Hasn't spoken to Elijah Olaniyi about his future, but will do so at the end of the season and hopes that Olaniyi does come back. As for Chris Lykes, Coach L has also spoken to him, but says Lykes hasn't given any thought to his future yet.

So, basically, we don’t have a single big on the roster next year. Nice work, Jim!
