Do schools really pay players??

A kid (transfer) many on CIS are hoping falls to us was "paid" in a round about way. Yes, it was substantial, and there is even a chance (if he is really naive) the kid himself is unaware. Now, this kid is talking about possibly transferring from the school that "dropped bags" Go figure.

Fields has to know his family got broke off, his dad wanted him to take the draft money from baseball.

As long as you say / add " ALLEGEDLY " to everything you can basically do anything till proven guilty or want to prove or ignore totally how's that allegedly of course ?

"Bags"
"Enjoying the process"
"Silent commitment"
"Wants us to offer his friend"

Just another in a long line of excuses that have grown to mythical proportions on these boards.

Our program is run incompetently, it has for years. That's our issue.

Yeah, kids with their hands out will go elsewhere sometimes, but there's a lot of talent on the table we lost simply because the other program was better. A lot better.

I don’t understand why a kid from Miami wouldn’t want to go to Miami. What difference does it make if they’ll play for a mediocre team, for a corch who gets fired, and underachieve their potential?

Yes....

Including your fav college football team 😉

Then we should have no problem signing some of our remaining targets, because there should be a ton of bag money left after whiffing on just about everyone worth a bleep.

SOBE is loaded with @nobeastofburden avatars who once unleashed can easily go head to head with paying players and guess what no paper trail but stains......... OH ALL ALLEGEDLY.

Our secret weapons are ready and willing

Has anyone given a thought that maybe the bagmen for Miami are refusing to support this coaching staff. they are willing to stop payments for recruits for a couple of years until there is a change. The only explanation as to why we only have 11 signed kids.

If you read the articles these bagmen are in the game for decades. willing to throw away a season or 2.

Son, they get paid in Pop Warner and HS.

The real question is how big is the raise?

Our past run ins with the NCAA , I am sure, have curtailed our " boosters" enthusiasm for this, and I would also assume that the massive advantage in alumni/ fan network that our opponents have helps them big time there.

Crap, the little shrimp was embarrassing. I use to drop more in strip clubs on a weekend than that smuck supposedly paid players. NCAA should given us extra scholarships and a couple get out of jail free cards out of pity.

How do we sign kids who are being recruited by UGA/Clemson/Bama then?
Bags didn't work for them?
They weren't elite enough to receiver bags?

Because we probably also drop bags. We’re just cheap.

Too many stories about kids getting paid at various schools, going all the way back to the 70’s.

Too many reasons for schools to have an incentive to pay kids.

It’s definitely happening.

My dad had a friend that was a QB at a D3 school back in the day. After a win, they would come back to $100 bills stuffed in their locker room shoes. This was D3. Imagine what happens in SEC...

And inflation.

Sec schools stuff the locker room shoes in money
