Do optics not matter to us?

After LSU loss we have played 3 lousy teams. Conference play will reveal if we are a good team.

The Coastal is terrible. It won't reveal much about Miam, sorry, us. Although expect Richt to be very up and down on how he prepares the team for their conference run.

You're supposed to let the young guys play when you're up 31-0. We should be angry with our backups for letting FIU score 17 points. Literally leaving a WR with a 3rd of the field to himself? Yeah. definitely would rather our 5th string DB beat himself over it when the game is over and get grilled about it afterwards while we still win the game.

Here's the problem, a lot of those 2nd and 3rd string guys aren't young dudes who need game experience. A lot of those guys are leftover Golden recruits who aren't getting better. Knowles, Perry, Smith, those guys shouldn't be on the field together if at all.

The majority of voters and fans in general didn’t watch this game. 31-0 or more looks way better than 31-17. After ****ting the bed on national tv, we need all the positive marketing we can get. Do we even care beyond W’s or L’s?

We don't need marketing we need lineman.

We aren't in contention for the National Championship Game, so who cares what the outside world thinks about our victories?

Just win the ACC Coastal, see where the chips fall in the ACC Title Game and get better as a team.
At the end of the season, ranking matters. Recruits also like to see improvement in polls year to year.

Plus, rankings really matter when I see my gator in laws.

The ACC , aside from Clemson, is #### this year. VT gets rolled by Old Dominion. WINLESS Old Dominion? WTF!
Also, do we win this game against FIU if Rosier stays in? Not a given.

**** SU might be top 5 in conference...that right there tells you all you need to know.

All that matters is Wins. Polls are BS until conference championship week. I didn’t like giving up the shutout...but at what cost? I certainly wouldn’t have wanted any of our key starters hurt just to have a shutout against our little cousin FIU. With BC and VT losing and FSU sucking we need to run the table and let’s see what we can do against Clemson.

Optics do matter but winning is far and away the most important optic. Two months from now this a win, period.

Some of the voters are absolute morons and will just look at the score and nothing else.

Some of the voters will actually look at the highlights and say wait a minute this Miami team was up 31-0? And that backup QB who played looks pretty darn good.
They will admit what Andre Ware said on air and say that this is a different team than what we saw the first few weeks.

Optics??? Lol
Way more important and beneficial for the long term success is all the freshman getting playing time.

No, optics don't matter as much anymore with the committee making the calls now. If we run the table and beat Clemson, they are not going to just look at the FIU score and say not good enough. They look more at who you beat over the season and who is playing their best ball at the end. They will be more concerned with the fact that most of the tough games going into the season ended up being against sub par team.

We need LSU to keep winning and their only loss coming from Bama. It will be hard to keep a Miami team out whose only loss is to a top 10 SEC team and a win against a previous top 3 Clemson team. It would be better if Georgia has a loss going into the Bama game.

No, anyone with a quarter of a brain can look at the box score and see they tacked on a few trash touchdowns against some 2030 recruits we snuck into our uniforms.
