No one does less with more than Richt. ******* is clueless and is a short version of Cowpie Jack Bicknell who struck gold with Doug Flutie and people believed it was Bicknell. Dud is supposed to be an offensive genius, and he's not even good at that. And Cristobal was a disaster at FIU in a weak conference. Just because he's been carrying Nick Savior's clipboard doesn't mean he can coach (see all of Belichick's assistants).

I'm sorry, I see things a bit different. If Miami strikes out on some of the guys they are looking at, I wouldn't mind Richt or Strong. Of course I wouldn't mind Herman or Fuente, but I don't want them to be another Al Golden for us. Richt has a very good record for his career. Some have pointed out that he loses big games, but he coaches in a tough SEC Conference. I could only imagine what he would accomplish in a weak ACC Conference. Strong is a very good recruiter and knows the South Florida area. He also is a very good defensive coach and would have Miami guys playing like Miami guys. I'll take both of those guys over the likes of Cristobal and Schiano.

Butch and Herman are 1A and 1B. There are others of course that should and will be considered but these two guys should be way, way out in front!
 
I would rather have strong over richt. richt has always under-achieved with the talent he has at Georgia. Strong is a disciplined coach that we need and he won at UofL. His issues at Texas are cleaning up a mess that he inherited from Brown. Texas has talent and they have shown signs of what they can be, but they are still working through issues. I think Texas will have things turned around by next year. Strong can also recruit and will do well in south florida.

I don't think the BOT / Admin will hire Butch and Herman will go for a better gig.
 
That's exactly who we should hope for when Butch is shot down & Herman goes to USC. Your effort needs to be anti-Chud & Cristobal, period.
 
Strong's stock is taking a huge hit right now.

Shut out vs a 2-5 Iowa St team in your second season? Losing by 3+ TDs to IOWA ST. Man. Charlie's on his own now.
 
Posts like this make me laugh. You clowns act like we didn't have Al Golden, Blandy and Coker over the last 10-12 years.
 
I would take strong or mark in a heartbeat. Both would be huge upgrades compared to what weve had for a decade

Charlie Strong is the biggest fraud in college football. Not even sure he is an improvement over Golden.

Beat up on the weak Big East with an NFL QB and still lost to Cuse and Uconn in 2012 in his 11-2 season.
 
Chris Petersen is your answer. Ran rough shot over the "great" Rich Rodriguez last night, beat USC on the road, and we all know what he did at Boise. He won't win anything at Washington. Splash some cash and get him. Strong is a bum. Richt is a bum. Texas and Georgia both are considered more elite programs than ours and are also located in fertile recruiting areas and they still don't win even with all their big budgets and facilities. With Richt, he just seems burnt out. He needs to take some time away from football and go do commentary for ESPN. Strong is a fraud. Iowa State? Really?
 
If we were in the Big East and had Teddy Bridgewater and Devate Parker......often!!
 
Since when is Georgia a more elite program than Miami?

Have people just become fans in the last 5 years?
 
^^^ Same thing they said about Dennis Erickson. West coast fruit cakes tend to be pretty successful here.

Wouldn't mind Richt....but would def be extremely upset at a Strong, Schiano, or Cristobal hire. Not truly feeling Fuentes, but wouldn't b terribly upset at the pick. But give me Butch or give me Herman....period. If we're going to hire a coach now, it better be BUTCH ONLY....but if we're going to wait, give me Herman ONLY...however, if this admin strike out on both, I'll settle for Richt, Chud, Fuentes (in order)
