This defense has been forced to play a lot. All season long a bunch of 3 and outs. Plus this was a short week and on the road. God knows if anyone went out and stayed late out as well. For the whole game this was all an offensive disaster. Their defense smelled blood and attacked all day. Richards was covered by a 5’9 guy with one arm literally. This is all on the offense. We go up by 10 keep theire d on the field and they fold. Simple as that. TOP for this team this season is not it’s strong point and teams have seen a bunch of our defensive plays.
 
You guys are out of your minds. The defense actually played better as the game went on. Eventually they were gassed after being on the field the entire game. It’s one thing when your offense doesn’t score but when they go 3 and out time after time and you keep running your guys in the trenches out without a breather what do you expect? Our defense showed up to play.

Going into this game I thought our defense would murder the poor freshman. I should've known better to assume anything.
 
Defense gave up a billion yards again and too many third down conversions, including the backbreaking time consuming drivr at the end. Ineffective, poorly times blitzes didnt help.

Defense didn't play terrible but didn't play great either from the beginning of the game so please don't tell me they were on field for too long. Lets just put things in prospective here: Against a freshman QB in his first start ever on a team that had a record of 4-5.

The defense didn't lose this game but for such an aggressive defense and all the turn overs our defense seems to be very bend and don't break.Average QBs have career games against us.The Pitt QB looked to poised and comfortable out there for a true freshman against our D and the QB for Virginia looked like Tom Brady the week before.Our LBs haven't gotten any better from last year,they were expected to be much better and they have either regressed or arre playing at the same level as last year.
 
I expected Rosier to eventually cost us a game as irrational as he is, however I was shocked st how poor the DL played. They were destroyed today. Their RBs were bulldozing our front 7

Nobody showed up, too much turkey. Even CMR didn’t show up, there was absolutely no effort in play calling to circumvent what Pitt was doing until the last TD.
 
DL needs to quit stunting and giving mobile QBs open running lanes. G-****. 3rd and long - QB runs for a first down. Over and over. We chat about 3-and-outs by the offense how about we talk about some discipline from the DL? Today we made a true freshman look like Roger Staubach.

Bryant is an average QB at best if you can take away some or much of his mobility game. Approach this game like the VT and ND games, and keep him in the pocket.

Yes. Blatant non-calls are a problem. We don’t seem have it called on is very often. Maybe our OL isn’t good enough to hold.

Is there an unwritten ACC mandate to ‘let the players play’?

Didn't you notice how many times the freshman QB pushed his way against our defenders to gain more yards after contact? Even the commentators said that wasn't the DL line they were watching all year.

Wasn't their best game.... Still... They did enough for them to win.... 2 turnovers with a short field and they don't score either time... The defense is on the field too **** much
 
When the team doesn't win, no player or unit played well enough to win. Thats a really dumb argument. The defense gives up way too many third down conversions. Pitt is an awful team that bullied us for 4 quarters.
