DL unit could be scary

People who take too much away from fall camp have been disappointed for nearly a decade and a half.

They could be out of this world, but if the back half isn't that good, then they'll have problems. We have a lot of question marks in the secondary. Truth be told, we have them in the DL as well in that there's an experience issue.

Guess we'll see what we've got as the season progresses. I keep seeing top this and top that, but a defense is only as good as it's weakest unit. Good coaches will attack our weaknesses.

It must suck to be so negative all the time. You can say that about any team on the country on both offense and defense.....

DL returns 2 starters, 2 grad transfers with plenty of experience and a rs senior in parchan. What’s the experience issue?

I like our chances of this DL having it's way with the Gayturd OL that is a bunch of 3star bums.

Let’s hope Baker doesn’t sht the bed. I don’t think so. But I thought Kosi was gonna take the wheel and put up the points we were leaving on the field.
I know it was cmr and his non explosive play offense and not all kosi. I’m confident but I’ve been confident before.
I hope we finally produce on the field at all 3 phases of the game.

Rumph hasnt let us down with his unit yet. Every year we say there a liability, and they exceed expectations. Hall, Smith, Carter, and Bolden are SUPREMELY talented at safety. Im very excited about that rotation. Even though they lack experience, I would not call them a liability. Those guys are going to make tons of plays.

We don’t have another Gerald Willis yet although I believe Nesta will be on that level one day.... but the collective will be better than what we had last year at DT.
Exactly the dt group Is deeper. Everyone is sleeping on chigozie, when he played His 2017 season at UCLA he was very disruptive with pass rush ability and a quick step

Where did I say liability?

I said we have question marks. They will be answered as the season progresses. Nobody right now can say what we've got for sure, it's still unknown. They could be a liability or out of this world.

What has Patch ever done?

Where's that experience up the middle, playing here, alongside the rest of our guys? DE's can be managed. I'm more concerned with what we have up the middle and experience wise what we brought back, we're thin as can be.

There is potential and that's all it is right now. That is an undeniable fact, but I'm sure that'll rattle the cages of some here.

If we get even just average play from the DT's this line is fire. The amount of DE Depth and absolute beasts is crazy. The fact that we have one of the best and experienced LB core's in the nation only helps the DL that much more. I think we could actually be better than last year in sacks and TFL.

I think the DL could actually be better this year if they stay healthy.

Garvin: Top 3 rd pick
Patchan: solid against the run and can rush the passer
Hill: another top 3 rd potential
Gregory: I don’t know how to spell his last name could be a freak( time will tell)
Ford: Monster
UCLA kid: just as good as Bethel
Bethel: very serviceable( won’t get flat out beat any rep)
Miller: Wild Card with size and strength
Nesta: Wild Card( could surprise once healthy)

Bethel has played 4 years. UCLA kid has multiple years of experience. Ford is a **** Junior. Then yes the experience drops off at DT.
