DJUs dad on twitter spaces (yikes)

He will single handedly lose them a game or 2 because of his inaccuracy and inability to get the job done late in a close game.

I do think their run game with him included converting short distance situations, will be one of the best in America. But again, his inaccuracy issues will be too great to overcome as far as them being a real title contender.
Does that mean you think Jordan Travis only accounted for 1-2 wins? I don't think there run game will be sufficient to carry them and their tight end is no different from their QB(mid) I could see them losing 4-5 this season (not knowing their schedule)

I don’t think those 1-2 L’s that he causes will be their only L’s. I could see the anywhere from 8-4 to 10-2, and the latter is if the ball bounces their way like it did so often last season.

Their defense will take a step back after losing Fiske, Verse, DeLoach, Lovett, Vance, Green etc and they don’t have Wilson/Coleman to bail them out.

Yes, Malik Benson is talented but I need to see it first before I buy that stock.

I 1000% believe in their run game though, they will lean on majority of their opponents. Norvell has produced a run game at every single stop he has been at. I am objective and will give him that (along with being a great offensive mind in general). With a veteran OL, a QB that will be **** near impossible to stop on 3rd/4th and short, and a stable of backs, the run game will undoubtedly be their strength. Do all you can to stop that and make DJ U/Hykeem/Benson/Douglas beat you.

I don’t remeber where I heard this but I think someone with intel on their program said they want to focus on a more physical and downhill style of run game. Believe they mentioned they wanted to run DUO (what we run) and Inside Zone more than their traditional counter plays.

They have to. They can’t run an offense THROUGH him, because his game is way too sporadic.

Their approach will be simple. Lean on run game, stay ahead of the chains. Strategically take deep shots to their speed demons (Williams, Benson, Douglas, Brown). Don’t force DJU to be THE man that has to dig them out of holes through the air. He isn’t capable of that.

They're gonna be boring as **** on offense. Toafili is a good back, but they don't have anyone as explosive as Benson. DJU can't play off-schedule like Travis thrived on. They have more speed on the outside for sure, but none of those dudes are alpha receivers. They're gonna run a ton of 2-back sets, designed QB runs, short yardage will be all downhill, ton of counters, and then just throw it as far as you can down the field.

DJU has one of the strongest arms in the country, but it's like an Iraqi rocket launcher...**** might go backwards it's so unreliable once you hit the fuse. He's not layering the ball to different levels of the field.

They took half Alabama's runoffs, and they're gonna look just like 2023 Alabama on offense.

If I was them I'd worry about those receivers. None of them are proven. I get Benson was a proven stud coming out of JUCO, but he didn't do anything at Bama (mind you they had a QB issue) and is a guy with 1-year left of eligibility. I don't see how he will come close to being like one of the guys they had last year. The other guys are unproven, albeit young and have upside, but Duggans is their coach so 🤷‍♂️

I do think it will be boring, but boring doesn’t automatically = bad. It won’t be as explosive and well ran as last year for sure. But at the end of the day they have Norvell coaching the O and they have talent, some unproven yes, but talent nonetheless on O. It will be a drop off from 2023, but they won’t just be a walk in the park for anyone out there.

Nah I didn't say bad. I hear you. I just think it's gonna be very similar to what Bama did last year with Milroe. They still averaged 31 a game and made the playoff. So it's not necessarily gonna be bad. It's just not going to be pretty...and even last year when FSU wasn't pretty, it was at least fun to watch with Travis running all over the place and making plays, Benson breaking a ton of tackles, and the outside WRs making catches with their big frames (pause, I think?).

But FSU will be efficient, I think. Norvell knows what he's doing, they have a good line, and DJ can run so they can get an extra hat in the run game. It's just gonna be boring to watch.

It's presented as a choice however when your QB is inaccurate and *** the choice part is taken away.

My middle eastern friends used to say it rather liberally which made me wonder the same thing.
I think in the modern era of snowflakeism everyone can say it now..... I dunno.... I'm a GenX'er... I know better...
