I haven't heard the podcast either but the replies are like do is gone and I can tell just by that one tweet and the news circulating.

The podcast is like an audio version of the work - while entertaining, not exactly fact filled with new insight on getting players.

Summary -
- DJ leaving is bad. He was an out of left field get. Parents seem to want him home. Brother huge canes fan pushing Miami. No real comfort either way.
- Need OL, CB and WR - less than 50% confident in Smith and/or Holloman. Brini not a take at this point. Two Heritage OL now doubtful, but a staff priority
- Henderson not ignoring Miami
- Staff has recruited against SEC teams
- Audio fellatio of some Furones guy adding very little

My problem with all of this is these dumb *** fans like Danny boy Cane on his Twitter talking out his ***. This kid has nothing to explain to us. Until he does then it's simply asinine to push him away with all the negativity. He's a kid & he's allowed to make sure he's making the right decision for his life. Going on his social media & talking **** to him won't make that decision any easier unless it's to go elsewhere. Far as I know he's still coming here. Just cause he isn't reassuring enough for yall is idiotic. Far as pod cast goes it's always good hearing Pete's opinions in most cases. Just important to remember that's what it is in most instances.

That guy is incessant on trying to be an insider. Dude literally believes what random people on twitter tell him then he gets outed as his "sources" turn out to constantly be trolls. The guy is special to say the least.

He's gotta do what's right for him regardless of what works for us. Personally I've said I think Garvin will be better in the end so this isn't about whether or not we lose him.this is a far bIngersoll picture of our stupid *** fanbase needing to learn their actions sabotage our program with any kid this is done to. Obviously it's not only our program this happens with (before someone goes there) but be clear,I don't give a **** about the next program. Just this u & getting back where we belong.

I agree with you. And for the record, if he wanted to decommit tomorrow and go to UW, that's his right to do so.

And yes, I'll never attack a kid for going to another school that isn't mine. It's not me that has to deal with that coaching staff for the next 3-4 years, it's them. They're the ones that have to live with that decision.

I'm just pointing out that this isn't over just because he said he's solid.

How do we know how far back his relationship there goes or how serious we should be towards it? Also in my own opinion you gotta look at how one place may relate more than another. In this instance he's from a real lame city in Sacramento (no insult meant) & Seattle or the state of Washington relates well to a kid like that compared to a city like miami.. just saying there's alot of intangibles

Sadly enough, I've heard this is often the case. There are a bunch of guys on our team that have gotten paid. But other schools pay more for better players.

Back in June, when he spoke to Pete on a podcast, his top teams were Miami, ASU, Bama, ND, UCLA & USC...
He had a special affinity for Adidas schools in particular & even though Bama, ND & USC aren't Adidas there was still interest.

I agree with what you're saying overall & I'm not bashing DJ, I'm ****ed at the staff for not keeping a stronghold on our kids...

It's not just this DJ situation & I'm not even saying he's going to flip, because I actually think we'll keep him, my issue is that this staff imo is just lacking something... Either we're not aggressive enough or we're just not hitting home with a lot of these top recruits.

I'm willing to give them time til NSD to see how everything plays out, It just doesn't make sense that we have so much trouble landing these kids & keeping them...

I'm not new to recruiting, been following it for a very long time & understand how it works, I'm just tired of always coming up short when it counts the most... I'm not saying that's happening now, I'm just saying there's always a million excuses as to why kids aren't coming or decommitting.

U-W this year #5 in the nation 10-1...Us this year 7-4 unranked. They might not have been a winning program but they are right now, and that's all that matters to these kids.

We get it, its frustrating losing kids to school not named The U, but we have to be honest with ourselves, other teams are winning and we are not, until we fix that kids will continue to run away. In a way its kind of like a paradox though because you need those players to win the games in the first place lol
