DJ Johnson wasn’t at the UVA Game?

Must be personal because anything else makes no sense. We're a championship team, how often does anyone get to be part of that? DJ has been embraced by the whole team and treated exceptionally well. He's been getting best coaching he could possibly get. He's played on consecutive Saturday nights against Top 10/15 teams in front of national TV at the best home stadium in America. He's certain to play as many snaps as anyone on the line next year. Rotate in at DE and play inside on 3rd and long or other speed rush plays. Will get all the preparation he needs for the next level.

Whatever the reason, he's back and will come back next year.

He reached out to us wanting to be in this class. Really hoping he sticks around. He can be a beast

DJ would be foolish to transfer. He'd have to sit out next season if he were to transfer. We're losing Chad and Trent due to graduation. Our DE rotation is going to be DJax, Joe Jackson and Garvin; DJ should be in the 2-deep next year. That's part of the problem with highly ranked kids that had as much national attention as he did. Sometimes evaluations aren't all that great and you come in compared to South Florida kids who weren't as highly rated, and you come to find out that they're the real deal down in South Florida. DJ on film has great ability and a lot of athleticism that Kool can work with. But he needs to understand that he probably isn't going to be a guy that's setting records and being a 3 and out guy at Miami.

He can be a beast? Why? Because some recruiting Services told you? A lot of you guys get caught up in recruiting services rankings. The coaching staff did not speak highly of DJ the way they spoke of Garvin. The reason Manny Diaz spoke highly of Garvin is because of what Garvin did against solid competition. DJ was a man amongst Boys in California. He played in the soft division. Now, he has to improve his work ethic. If he is soft minded, he should transfer.

Let him play vs Pitt & give him some burn vs Clemson.

Get him more in the fold during Bowl practices & keep engaged as the possible successor to Chad on that Strong Side.

This ain't a time where you just let a kid like that walk, its not like the situation with Mullins, we need DE's & a kid as big & as fast as him has tremendous upside under Kool's tutelage.

It's understandble to be homesick, but don't go letting this kid pack it in, keep him interested.

Give my ***. If we start playing that game we will never have a great program. Playing time is earned not given. If DJ wants to transfer, ***** him.

That’s just a baby bltch response when you have no fūcking idea what’s going on. No one that’s posted in this thread does.

Some of you ladies immediately start acting like jilted teenage girls right from the start, without having any idea of what’s going on.

That's why I said he CAN be and not IS. Kid has tremendous size and speed, can't teach that, if he is patient, this coaching staff will turn him into a monster.

Now go away with your rubbish

Writing is on the wall for DJ. He's watching his classmate in Garvin get strip sacks and turnover chains. He knows he won't be the starter next year. Kid is getting in his feels and wants to take the easy way out it seems.

I couldn't have said it any better myself. Surely the young man is smart enough to realize that we are loaded at DE this year and that getting or as a true freshman was going to be an uphill battle. He also must realize that we lose a significant amount of talent on the DL after this year and that his role next year will be huge.

He would be flat out insane to walk away from this program at this time. Can anyone here think of a better situation for a true freshman 5 star DE? He must realize that coach Kool will develop him into a fantastic NFL prospect. I think that maybe DJ needs to sit down and take inventory of all of the blessings he has.

Easy way out of what? Its being said he had a family issue. Richt said he would be back for practice.

Rumor has it that DJ went home for a kidney transplant.

Another rumor linked to the story is his uncle donated the kidney, who is none other than P. Diddy.

The other rumor swirling around is DJ’s Kidney became infected after eating at the Mexican restaurant Al Golden, Mark D'Onofrio and Donna Shalala recently opened in Little Havana.

Yet, another rumor is Dr. Dre first diagnosed DJ’s kidney problem and also did the kidney transplant surgery.

Finally, a friend, of a friend, of a friend of mine who knows DJ’s mamma, poppa and auntie told me that since the surgery DJ has magically become a genius rap lyricist and singer and has left UM’s football program to pursue his music career in Afghanistan.

Way too much time on your hands, pal.

Sometimes kids just get homesick. It’s not easy being on the other side of the country and away from everything you know.

It’s not unusual for freshmen to go through this. A family issue just exacerbates the problem.

Hope he stays, but also hope he does what’s best for him and his family.

The pathetic thing is you obviously thought all or part of that was funny.

It wasn't. Fail.

I agree. ***** DJ if he doesn't want to compete.
