So then what did he have? Short answer- nothing. It’s why he struggled against any good defense. The big play against Duke anyone one of us could’ve housed that the hole was 10 ft wide and the safety slipped. I’m hoping the lost weight brings back that wiggle and excitement he had.Deejay was agile and elusive in 2017. He was really hard to bring down in open space. It looked like he lost that aspect of his game in 2018. Hoping we see him back to his 2017 form this year.
That move he put on that UNC player in 2017 when he caught the slant is still cemented in my mind. We need that back.So then what did he have? Short answer- nothing. This shows you how dysfunctional the program was last year...article on TOS
"The biggest difference with Dallas compared to last season? He's improved his conditioning. Dallas played at 17 percent body fat last year. He says he is now down to 9.6 percent body fat and has trimmed his weight down to 213 pounds."
...**** what the **** did felder have him eating?
especially when they are not 6-6 and 200Felder bulked him up more than 20 lbs last year! No one can put on 20 lbs of good lean muscle that quickly, most of it was fat and he played way to heavy last year

Man look at the numbers deeper dude. He was not good. He had a good first game, then ate against D2 schools(Toledo and FIU might as well be division 2) then went off against one of the worst defenses in college football last year in UNC, defense was in the 100’s out of 125. From that point on take away 1 rush on a busted coverage in a monsoon and a safety slipping and he averaged 3.2 ypc. That’s terrible. Body wore down cause he was fat as ****. He had no wiggle and all those hidden yards he got year one he didn’t get.In the 20 games Deejay has played:
Homer - 262 - 1,479 - 5.6 ypc - 7 TD
Dallas - 150 - 834 - 5.6 ypc - 9 TD
Deejay averaged under 4 ypc in 5 games last year. So did Homer in 4 of those games.
Vs. P5
Homer (2018) - 122 - 739 - 6.1 ypc - 3 TD
Dallas (2018) - 80 - 431 - 5.4 ypc - 5 TD
Walton (2016) - 161 - 716 - 4.4 ypc - 7 TD
If you think Deejay was fat, slow and wasn't good last year - then what would you predict his stats will look like this year when he's trimmed down?

Hoping the weight loss brings back that wiggle.
Making big plays? He made 1 play on a punt return. The blocks were set up perfectly and really didn’t do anything special. Making a play is what JT did on his return against VT.I'm all for taking a deeper dive into the numbers. But what you're doing is only looking at the negative for Deejay and only the positive for Cam. That leads to inconsistent comparisons. For Example.....
1) Why would you dismiss Deejay's UNC game, but use Cam's VT game to say he's "special" and the best RB we've had since Duke?
UNC (111th Run Defense)
Deejay - 11 - 114 - 10.4 ypc - 1TD
VT (106th Run Defense)
Cam - 7 - 77 - 11.0 ypc - 1TD
2) Why look at just these 2 games (GT & VT), but dismiss the next 2 (Pitt & Wisconsin), and the Spring games?
Pitt & Wisconsin
Deejay - 12 - 47 - 3.9 ypc - 1TD. 28 yd run & 65 yd punt return vs Pitt. 35 yd punt return vs Wisconsin.
Cam - 9- 14 - 1.6 ypc - 0TD. 1 Fumble
If Deejay was so fat, slow, and worn down by the end of the year - why is he the one making big plays?
Both Deejay & Cam are very good RB's. Both will have their good games & bad games. You don't need to bring one down to prop up the other.

Cam didn’t get much of an opportunity cause Richt refused to play young kids. I like DeeJay but he was fat last year. And when you are fat you are slower. It goes hand in hand. Not sure what’s so hard to understand that.
Forgetting the receiving TD he had against VT where he also showed his versatility on a wheel route and GT where he rushed 6-48 and a TD?Deejay went from 213 to 220 lbs last year. He could've been in better shape, for sure. I don't think he was so fat and out of shape that he could only make plays when defenders slipped or the play was blocked perfectly. I think he made plenty of plays last year, and the affect of his weight has been over-exaggerated - but we just see that differently.
I'll ask again - Can you explain why Deejay's UNC game should be dismissed, but Cam's VT game show's he's "special" and the best RB we've had since Duke?
UNC (111th Run Defense)
Deejay - 11 - 114 - 10.4 ypc - 1TD
VT (106th Run Defense)
Cam - 7 - 77 - 11.0 ypc - 1TD
He still has man-*****
