DJ Dallas Appreciation Thread

Guy is so underappreciated by this fanbase, every week he runs his *** off with maximum effort. He would be putting up monster numbers with a decent O-Line and if the offense was in sync.

Plus he's stayed loyal and bleeds Orange and Green. Here's hoping next year he gets that chance to get some national attention.

I don't think he's underappreciated honestly. Not by knowledgeable fans anyhow. You just tend to her complaining more than praise in seasons where you lose 3 games you shouldn't.

Yea don’t know bout that. He is appreciated by me for sure. Have to admit he has a lot of heart and really stepped up in blocking for JW.
He has all my respect. Hope he stays one more year so he can run behind a better line.

He’s moving up to hallowed ground on my all time favorite Cane list.

Him and Bandy, both of them play so relentlessly.

Deejay is usually good for a big play or two and it’s never because he has open field. He creates open field by just refusing to stop.

Half of this fan base tore him to shreds last year when he had the fumble problems. That kid has done nothing to deserve that.

DJ's blitz pickups really stood out yesterday. On the Wiggins TD he stoned a blitzing LB coming at JW, on the JT4 completion late in the 4th he also picked up a rusher coming off the edge. Those are the little things we have to master to become elite again. Great job DJ!

I honestly hope D.J. and Trajan come back next year. I don’t think Bandy will leave but D.J. now has a son and is a running back but I feel like our team and offense will be better next year and I want him to eat

I rewatched the game last night, and I'm telling you Deejay was the offensive MVP. The offense does not move yesterday without his blitz pick ups.

And he wasnt on no chip **** either. He was handling those dudes straight up.

He’s a complete back. He finds hidden yards, rarely goes down on first contact, blocks well and catches the ball out of the backfield. He’s the heartbeat

Dudes saying they don’t remember the under-appreciation of Deejay may be right if referring to posting during this season. But during this (previous) offseason Deejay was routinely undervalued in posts and thrown in the garbage in favor of Cam Davis.

Maybe that’s what the OP is referring to, if so, I strongly agree because I defended him all offseason.
