Not sure how we can....maybe they have another trick up their sleeve.
This is what I mean when I say the rules are a “myth”... I want to find a better word to use because yes the rules do exist and they do enforce them.. but they are open for interpretation in the NCAA is all I’m saying..

NOT "open for interpretation".

If someone gets "blueshirted", there are requirements. UM has to document official visits. UM has to document official in-home visits.

You know who COULD qualify for blueshirt treatment next year? Ishmael. Wouldn't need to be "recruited".

I'm not saying it will happen. But it's not "open for interpretation". It's "following the existing rules very carefully and precisely".

Listen man you are right I the letter of the law but I can give you a million examples of when these rules aren’t followed but we would then go down a rabbit hole that’s unnecessary lol let me say that YOU ARE RIGHT but man **** happens in every facet of the game when it comes to the NCAA

I'm not mad at you and I'm not fighting with you.

But the "million examples" situation is wrong. That's what frequently happens on this board. Someone (not saying you, but other people) will bring up the "but Ole Miss or Auburn signed 32 guys" example from years ago, not taking into account that the rules have changed.

Yes, there are a lot of past examples. Agreed.

But we have to realize that this is a chess game against the NCAA, and they change the rules all the time. Things that Butch did are no longer allowed.

That is all.

We just have to be careful. There are POSSIBLY some avenues to pursue. But.

1. There are lot of technical rules and regulations that MUST be observed and followed, and
2. We probably shouldn't talk about this stuff as if it is sooo easy that even a caveman can do it, because I guarantee you that other programs will complain and get the rules changed AGAIN

Just my 2 cents, nothing personal, nothing against you at all. You're a good dude and you probably understand there are technicalities better than most.

But it's hard to have an honest conversation on this board when SOME PEOPLE oversimplify everything and can't figure out why we can't sign every single 4-star transfer.

Dude was good enough to get burn at a loaded Georgia secondary but not at UM LOL. Meanwhile we had to watch average Ivey get burned on fake punt passes.

I don't think people are saying "he's not good enough".

I think people are saying he may not be worth using an IC slot on when we are getting a ton of great 2021 kids.
