Going into the game I felt Miami could dominate after I rewatched the ole miss Georgia game.
Miami is just that much better. This game felt like SMU all over again. Self inflicted wounds, awful calls by the refs. No calls on ole miss by refs. Every single thing went against Miami yet the were winning. Injuries were piling up as well on defense. Then find out players had the flu. What else could have gone wrong. Doinked in FG, Miami missed FG. Tipped INT, dropped 4 INT. What a game.
Tha sinking feeling stayed to set in. How can a team that much better lose. It was what we have watched for over 20 years.
The magic happened. Toney TD and then Miamis 3rd straight game winning drive in the playoffs.
Miami obliterated that team every where but the scoreboard. On to the championship.
